Rachel's POV

"No time for that." Kacy said smacking my hands away from her waist.

"No? Are you sure?" I asked in a sultry voice well at least I wanted it to sound like that.

Seems like I succeeded seeing her cheeks deepen in the pink color they were already tainted in. Such a cutie, I can just gush over her cute features all day!

Our moment came to an end when one of the guards came into the library, "Queens, there is something at the border than needs your guidance and assistance, we ask with respect that you take a look at it." I gave Kacy and look before we both agreed on going to the area that needed our assistance.

"Okay then, lead us to it." I said with a stone face. Kacy has been getting jealous easily lately, I don't know why but if I even show a smiley or friendly tone and face to someone else then I would get punished.

I know where your minds go but I do not get punished by BDSM, I wish though. It would be much better than sleeping on the couch until it hits 12 pm then your loved one comes out the room crying that you should come back. Strange really.

I shifted into my wolf after we reached the outside and so did the others. A few guards came with us for protection just in case.

After Kacy shifted she walked over to me and started sniffing me before rubbing her nose under my chin. When she was done scent marking me she rubbed her whole body against mine, her tail being the last which purposefully smacked me in the face.

I huffed in response while her tail began wagging.

"Let's go." Kacy said in the mind-link.

The guards formed a formation around us two, one infront of us, 2 on the right and left then 1 in the back. We were in the middle of the protection shield.

10 minutes later

We arrived at the border and there was no suspicious activity, well they never said there was 'suspicious' stuff but one would assume right?

Said that too soon because I got a small wiff of something weird. I chose to follow it out of curiosity, "Over here." I yelled in the mind-link.

Kacy whimpered when she saw the horrible sight I saw.

Two small wolves completely injured and passed out, they dont look more than a couple of months old. Complete pups, I walked over and sniffed them. One was a male I think while the other was a female.

Maybe siblings?

Who would do this to small pups? I growled lowly when thinking of the possibilities these kids went through.

"Have you guys seen anyone do this to them?" I said directed to the guards who looked like they were about to shit themselves from my previous actions.

"Take these children back to the castle and make sure they get treated right." I said to three of them. That leaves two guards with us.

"Look around the area and try to see if you catch a scent of someone who might've done this heartless act!" I yelled out to the other guards. Kacy nudged me with her nose, a silent motion to ask if I was okay.

I licked her muzzle to show that I am indeed okay. We both sniffed around finding nothing but dirt and leaves.

This was right at the border so who could've done it?

This had to be a message but to who? I mean nobody leaves two injured pups at a border without some kind of secret message or something along that line.

Hearing a stick crack in the distance I got down and signaled my love to follow me, not before making sure she's somewhat away from harm.

As soon as I got an actual sniff of the human's scent I immediately recognized it. "Go back, Kacy. Now." Some kind of instinct kicked in me when I recognized this certain smell.

Kacy could never handle what is about to happen or what she might see.

"Come here you stupid bitch! How dare you defy me? Your supposed to be my toy, doll!" I heard some man yell.

Peeking from the bushes I saw a figure covered by a black cloak. That has to be one of the shadow figures members, right?

I shifted my gaze onto a girl no older than sixteen on the ground almost naked. Wait.... was this bastard gonna..? Oh fuck no!

Without thinking I pounced from the bushes and onto the man's back, ripping his head off clean. Clearly I did not know he had friends because 4 more people around the same build as him came out of nowhere.

What the hell? Is this some kind of cult?

"Run, please. I cannot have you here while worrying for you and my own safety." I whispered to the sixteen year old girl that was now behind me. She looked at me with teary eyes before running off.

One of the guys tried to catch her before she got far but I quickly chased him and ripped his trachea off. Blood was gushing out and he started screaming before it died down. Just like him.

"Oh shit, Chase!" One guy yelled out to his dead friend on the floor.

"You motherfucking furball! I will kill you!!" Another voice said that I did not recognize.

All three of them surrounded me before one made and move and the rest followed. All of them trying to distract me so their friend could get a hit at me. I'm smarter though.

After one of them almost hit me I bit his arm and dragged him with me while I ran. The other two followed like dumbasses.

I jumped off a tree and threw their injured friend onto both of them.

Humans are so dumb.

All three attacked at once, dumb technique. I ran quick so only the left person could see and he turned which his silver blade hit his friends neck in the process.

Two down two more to go! Yay me!

"Oh fuck!"

"DUMBASS WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT?!"

"I dont know! He got in the way!"

"WHY DID YOU TURN SO FAST???"

"STOP YELLING AT ME AND LETS GET THIS DAMN FURBALL DUDE." Both of them turned to me. Oh crap.

From nowhere a gunshot was heard and those two fell down. Hell nah I don't deal with guns especially if I can't see where its being shot from.

I ran from that area, I didn't get far before something tackled me to the ground. I looked up and saw... another wolf? Give me a break dude.

"Dinner, Dinner!" Oh gosh he looked crazy. I guess this is a rogue?

He practically ran to me and almost bit me neck, which could've killed me. He's fast, maybe that's a retired warrior? Wouldn't be surprised if it was he looks like a feiner.

He did the same thing again only this time I didn't react in time. What the fuck? Is he like supercharged or something?

Out of nowhere a wolf tackled that druggie so I wasn't hit.

"Kacy?!" Why is she here??

"Shut up! Your in no shape to fight a drugged, rogue, warrior."

"Look at you! You are slow and vulnerable. Let me help!" She begged me while keeping her head under my chin protecting my neck from harm.

"Okay." I agreed because I noticed her hormones were rising. Many footsteps were heard before ten guards came out of nowhere and attacked the rogue.

Damn.

Kacy dragged me away, literally trying to help keep my body up since I apparently didn't notice I was extremely exhausted. She made sure to inform me of that.
