Rachel's POV
Past
"Mom! Look at what I have!" 6 year old me showed her the white flat rock I found around the forest.
"That is very pretty Rachel, how did you find it?"
"Well...I was searching around the forest duh!!"
"Rachie make sure to not cross the pack borders though, okay?" "Okay mom....but what's the danger of crossing beyond the pack border? I'm pretty sure I can beat the bad guys up!" I said while throwing punches in the air.
My mom started laughing and was gonna say something but then my dad and brother came back from guarding the pack border, they looked silly like someone who was scared.
Why would they be scared? They told me that we are really strong together maybe even the strongest!
"Honey! Where is Alpha Leam this is urgent!" Why is dad yelling..?
After my mother told him where Alpha Leam was he began to run in urgency trying to reach Alpha. Why was he running though...?
I looked at my mom and she was so...still, "Mom?"
She finally looked at me and began to dig something out of her pocket. Me and my brother who was 14 at this time looked at her intrigued.
"Rachel honey you see this necklace? Keep it and don't lose it, okay? For mommy."
"It will keep the bad things away from you, when and when your not in trouble, keep it safe my troublemaker." She finished talking then moved to talk to my brother.
"Adrien, I want you to keep your sister safe. Go to the bunker hidden in the kitchen cabinet and do not come out until someone from the pack comes and gets you or until you hear absolutely no movement." My brother nodded his head, his confused and slightly scared face turned into stone-cold and determined.
Does brother know what's going on? "What's going on..? I'm scared Ren."
Adrien glanced at me with so much sympathy, why cant he just tell me?!
Everything else happened so fast. After I asked him that an alarm went off everyone was screaming, scrambling, some trying to hide some trying to fight the figures hidden in the shadows.
My brother grabbed me running to the kitchen and shoved us both into the bunker hidden in the cabinet.
All I heard were screams. Some stood out to me the most, "Mom! Dad! Let go of me Ren! We need to go save mom and dad!" I can hear them screaming, pleading with the unknown people until everything went silent.
Footsteps went our way and suddenly the bunker was given light, amongst that shining sunlight a figure stood with a bloodied knife.
That's when Adrien and the figure sprang into action, they ended up wrestling trying to fight for the knife it seems? "RACHIE RUN."
He said that right when he threw the figure into the abyss of the bunker giving me a clear exit. I booked it as fast as possible shedding tears while running until I eventually collapsed.
I don't know how I got here but when I woke up I was on a bed. It looks like a medical bed?
The door opened and in came a werewolf...? Her scent is just like one. Maybe a little different.
"Ah you've awaken, my dear do not fret if your wondering how you got here our Luna found you on her late night stroll with the Alpha in the woods."
Alpha? Luna? Surely its not the same ones i'm thinking about right..? "I'm scared.. I-..I don't know where my family is, do you know where they are miss?"
A frown etched upon her face when I asked that, "No dear I do not know where they are i'm sorry. Do you want to meet the Luna and Alpha?"
I nodded my head still trying to grasp what was going on. The door opened and in came I think their Alpha and Luna.
They both greeted me and we fell into a deep conversation of just getting to know each other. I think they talked about flower and stuff to get my mind off of what happened.
They asked for my name and I asked for theirs.
The Alpha asked me a question, "Do you want to join our pack, Rachel?" I eagerly nodded completely forgetting what happened a couple hours prior.
From there on the Alpha and Luna began treating me as their own. I really like them but I cant help but get sad that my family is sleeping forever. My parents always told me that when a person gets buried that just means their sleeping forever! Must be nice.
Present
I quickly learned that 'sleeping forever' meant they're dead. Ever since I learned that I kept mourning the loss of my family eventually until it was a distant nagging feeling.
