A Deal with the Devil

Luca's Pov:- ---

Luca sighed, rubbing his temples as he watched Ava and Damien exchange conspiratorial looks. He had barely woken up, still groggy from sleep, and already, they were up to something.

Damien leaned against the doorway, arms crossed, amusement dancing in his dark eyes. "You're finally awake, angel. I was starting to think I'd have to carry you around all day."

Luca shot him a glare. "I'm exhausted because someone wouldn't let me sleep last night."

Ava, sitting on the couch with her legs swinging, gasped dramatically. "Papa! What did you do?"

Damien smirked. "Nothing inappropriate. Just reminding Luca how much I adore him."

Luca felt his face heat up. "You were biting me."

Ava's eyes widened. "Like a vampire?!"

Damien chuckled, walking over and casually wrapping an arm around Luca's waist, pulling him close. "Mmm, something like that. He tastes sweet."

Luca shoved at his chest. "Damien!"

Ava giggled, watching the two of them with keen interest. "I think Papa's obsessed with you, Luca."

Luca huffed. "Tell me something I don't know."

Damien leaned down, brushing his lips against Luca's ear. "I don't see the problem, angel. You're mine. I should be allowed to admire every inch of you."

Luca tried to push him away, but Damien only tightened his grip, smirking as Luca's ears turned pink.

Ava tapped her chin. "So, if you love Luca that much, would you let him boss you around for a whole day?"

Damien snorted. "Absolutely not."

Luca smirked. "Oh? Afraid you'd like it?"

Damien's eyes darkened playfully. "Careful, angel. If you challenge me, I might just tie you to the bed and see how much of a boss you really are."

Luca's breath caught, and Ava blinked in confusion. "Tie him up? Like a burrito?"

Luca groaned, covering his face. "Oh my God, Ava, no."

Damien burst into laughter, his chest rumbling against Luca's back. "Yes, exactly like a burrito."

Ava clapped her hands. "Yay! I love burritos!"

Luca muttered under his breath, "I hate both of you."

But despite his words, he let Damien hold him close, warmth spreading through his chest. They were his family-teasing, embarrassing, ridiculous-but his.

And he wouldn't trade them for the world.

Luca stretched his sore limbs, blinking as sunlight streamed through the curtains. Ava had run off to play, leaving him alone with Damien who was watching him with a smirk that meant trouble.

"What?" Luca asked suspiciously.

Damien crossed his arms. "You look well-rested."

Luca frowned. "I was until you started staring at me like I'm your next meal."

Damien leaned in, eyes gleaming. "That's because you are, angel."

Luca groaned and rolled away, but Damien was quicker, caging him against the couch. "Actually, I had an idea," Damien murmured.

Luca eyed him warily. "That's never good."

Damien smirked. "Let's make a deal."

Luca raised an eyebrow. "What kind of deal?"

"If you can resist kissing me for the entire day, I'll do anything you want."

Luca stared at him. "Anything?"

"Anything." Damien's voice was a dark promise.

Luca narrowed his eyes. "And if I lose?"

Damien chuckled. "Then you do whatever I want."

Luca knew it was a trap. He knew. But Damien was smug, and Luca hated when he was smug.

"Fine," Luca said, crossing his arms. "You're on."

Damien's smirk widened like a predator who had just caught his prey.

The Game Begins

At first, it was easy. Luca avoided Damien's proximity, keeping his distance while he played with Ava and had lunch.

But then, Damien turned up the heat.

He 'accidentally' brushed against Luca's lips while handing him a glass of water. He whispered in Luca's ear every chance he got, his breath warm and teasing. He leaned way too close whenever they talked, looking devastatingly handsome and completely smug.

By evening, Luca was struggling. His fingers itched to pull Damien down and kiss that cocky look off his face.

Ava, completely oblivious to their silent battle, laughed as she played with her dolls. "Luca, why is your face all red?"

Luca shot Damien a glare. "Because your papa is annoying."

Damien smirked, running a finger down Luca's wrist. "Am I, angel?"

Luca sucked in a sharp breath. "Yes."

"You sure you don't want to just give in?" Damien murmured, his voice a low, dangerous purr.

Luca swallowed hard. Oh, he was going to lose.

The Breaking Point

By nightfall, Damien went in for the kill.

He pinned Luca against the bedroom wall, hands on either side of his head, eyes dark and unreadable.

"You lasted longer than I thought," Damien murmured. "But you're trembling, angel. You want to lose, don't you?"

Luca clenched his jaw. "No."

Damien tilted his head, then-he licked Luca's bottom lip.

Luca snapped.

With a growl, he yanked Damien down and kissed him, all frustration and surrender. Damien groaned into the kiss, victorious.

When they finally pulled away, Luca scowled. "You cheated."

Damien chuckled, tucking a strand of hair behind Luca's ear. "No, angel. You lost."

Luca sighed. "Fine. What do you want?"

Damien's smirk deepened. "Oh, you'll see."

Luca had the sinking feeling he had just sold his soul to the devil.
