Ever since that night, something had changed between them. Fourth wasn’t sure when it had started, but he found himself gravitating toward Gemini more and more.
At first, it was subtle—lingering a little too long in the same room, sitting closer on the couch, brushing their hands together absentmindedly. But soon, it became obvious to everyone that Fourth had grown attached.
He sought out Gemini in every moment, pulling at his sleeve when he wanted attention, resting his head on Gemini’s shoulder when they sat together, even curling up next to him when they watched a movie. It was as if now that he had allowed himself to trust, he didn’t want to let go.
The others noticed, of course. Prim and Tu shared knowing glances whenever Fourth clung to Gemini’s arm. Pond and Phuwin had taken to teasing him mercilessly, often smirking when Fourth leaned into Gemini without realizing it.
But what surprised everyone the most was Gemini’s response.
He didn’t pull away. He didn’t tease. He let Fourth stay close, let him take what he needed. And when he thought no one was looking, he would rest a hand on Fourth’s back, thumb brushing gently over the fabric of his shirt.
One evening, as they sat together, Fourth curled against his side, Gemini let out a soft chuckle. “You’ve gotten clingy.”
Fourth stiffened slightly but didn’t pull away. “I—sorry…” he mumbled, hesitating.
Gemini turned slightly, tipping Fourth’s chin up to meet his gaze. “I didn’t say I minded.”
Fourth blinked up at him, cheeks heating. He wasn’t sure what to say, so he stayed silent, letting the warmth of Gemini’s hand against his face soothe him.
It felt safe. It felt right.
And maybe, just maybe, this was what love felt like.

The next morning, Fourth was more attached than ever. He clung to Gemini’s arm the moment he woke up, refusing to let go even as they made their way downstairs for breakfast. Gemini sighed but didn’t push him away, instead letting him hold on like a sleepy kitten.
When they reached the dining table, all eyes were immediately on them. Prim and Tu exchanged glances, their faces lighting up with mischief, while Pond and Phuwin smirked knowingly.
“Oh my God,” Tu whispered dramatically. “It’s official. Fourth is practically glued to Gemini now.”
Prim giggled, nudging Fourth. “Did you even sleep last night, or were you too busy clinging to him like a teddy bear?”
Fourth flushed deep red, hiding his face against Gemini’s shoulder. “Shut up…” he mumbled, his voice barely audible.
Gemini, unfazed as ever, simply lifted a spoonful of food to his mouth and chewed nonchalantly. “You all are too loud this early in the morning.”
Pond snickered. “Says the guy who didn’t even try to push Fourth away. You’re so whipped, bro.”
Phuwin nodded sagely. “At this point, I don’t think Fourth is the only clingy one.”
Gemini shot them a glare but didn’t respond, which only fueled their teasing further.
Tu leaned in, whispering conspiratorially to Fourth. “Don’t worry, we fully support you making Gemini all soft and mushy.”
Fourth groaned, burying his face even further against Gemini’s shoulder. Gemini, amused by Fourth’s reaction, let out a quiet chuckle and ruffled his hair.
“Let them talk,” Gemini said casually. “It’s not like they’re wrong.”
Fourth’s heart stuttered, and he dared to peek up at Gemini, only to find him smirking slightly. That small acknowledgment sent his heart into overdrive, and the warmth he had grown so used to in Gemini’s presence only deepened.
And despite the relentless teasing, Fourth found himself not minding at all.
