The mansion was unlike anything Fourth had ever seen. Towering pillars lined the grand entrance, and a massive chandelier bathed the room in a golden glow. The air smelled of polished wood and something floral, a sharp contrast to the musty staleness of his uncle’s house.

As he stepped inside, his nerves twisted into knots. He wasn’t sure if he belonged here, among these people who had taken him in.

Gathered in the grand hall, the family was waiting. Tay and New stood side by side, exuding authority yet warmth. Earth and Mix, their longtime allies, watched with measured expressions. Tu and Pond sat on the plush couches, observing him with quiet curiosity. Prim smiled reassuringly at him, while Gemini stood with arms crossed, looking as impatient as ever.

Tay cleared his throat. “Now that we’re all here, there’s something important we need to discuss.”

New stepped forward, placing a gentle hand on Fourth’s shoulder before turning to Gemini. “Since all of your siblings and friends are in relationships, we’ve decided that you and Fourth will be getting married.”

Silence fell over the room like a crushing weight.

Fourth felt his chest tighten, his fingers curling into the fabric of his sleeves. Married? To Gemini? His throat felt dry, his mind unable to process the words.

Gemini, on the other hand, reacted instantly. “Excuse me?!” he barked, glaring at his parents. “You’ve got to be kidding me.”

Tay exhaled sharply. “Gemini, it’s time you settled down. You’re the only one left without a partner.”

New nodded. “Fourth needs stability, and you need to grow up. This arrangement benefits both of you.”

Gemini scoffed. “So, because I’m single, I just get forced into marriage? With a kid I barely know?”

Fourth flinched at the harshness of his tone, his small frame tensing. He already felt out of place, and now he was being treated like some kind of burden.

Prim stepped closer, her presence a shield between Fourth and Gemini’s sharp words. “Gem, you don’t have to be so cruel.”

Tu, who had been quiet until now, placed a comforting hand on Fourth’s shoulder. “It’s okay, Fourth. We’re here for you.”

Gemini ran a hand through his hair, exhaling loudly. “This is ridiculous.”

New’s expression softened, but his voice remained firm. “Gemini, we’re not asking. We’re telling you. Fourth is part of this family now, and this marriage will secure his place.”

Gemini clenched his jaw, glancing at Fourth, who looked like he wanted to disappear.

Fourth swallowed hard, his heart pounding in his chest. Prim and Tu remained by his side, offering silent support.
