Manik's pov

I will apologize to her. How can I forget my character about a sweet lover boy ? I should wrap whatever is going on between us soon otherwise I will go mad. I can't risk falling in love with her. No, I can't risk it.

Nandini's pov

" Why did you call me outside late at night..? " I asked him rudely as I was angry with him.

" Because I want her to reach home safely.." He replied.

" Why is Mukti with you, Abhi ? " I asked frowning.

" I came here with my friends. But I found her drunk and no one was there to take care of her. I know who she was but I don't know her address. So, I brought her here so that she can stay here." Abhi explained the situation.

" Why is she so drunk ? Doesn't she have the sense that anything could happen to her in this state.." I said and Abhi shrugged his shoulder.

" I miss you, choti.." He hugged me all of sudden but I pushed him away.

" You went missing for four years without any prior information. Except those rare messages and you said you missed me.." I showed him how angry and hurt I am with his behaviour.

" I promised you choti I will never do it again ever again. That time situation led me to do so. You know how my profession is I don't want to risk your life at all.." He explained his reason.

" Why are you here in Mumbai ? " I asked frowning.

" When I went home Amms said you were all in Mumbai. I am joining the Space Academy to complete my masters. I leave my job so that I can live happily with you all.." He said and I frowned as to become a police officer was his dream job. Why am I sensing fishy with his explanation ?

" But I don't want anyone to know about us being sisters and brothers at all in the Space Academy. I was on a dangerous mission before leaving the job and I don't want to risk your life at all. Let the matter settle down a bit so that I can live freely, with you and our family.. hmm.." Abhi said to me.

" I won't let anyone know about it. I am forgiving you for the last time. If you pull this stunt again, I won't talk to you ever again.." I threatened him. His expression changed but he immediately hid it.

We both took Mukti to my home and made her sleep in my room.

" Take Care.." He patted my shoulder and left the room. I slept in another room.

Next Morning

I have already messaged to come to pick Mukti up. I made her lemonade and went to wake her up. Give her time to adjust.

" How did I reach here ? " Mukti asked holding her head.

" One of my colleagues found you in the bar. As he knew me he brought you here as he thought I was close with you all through Manik.." I lied to her. She is busy holding her head.

" Mukti, if I was your friend then I would have slapped you hard for pulling this type of stunt. What were you thinking before going to the bar and drinking till you lost your sense? What if something inappropriate would have happened to you ?I thought you were sensible.You can go to any friends home to share your problem if you were in trouble.." I scolded her. I couldn't control myself.

Mukti looked down in guilt.

" I have told everything to Manik. Hoping that you would never pull this stunt." I said and she looked up at me with fear in her eyes. Good for her.

Manik comes after some time. He was looking angry. He asked Mukti to sit in the car without even glancing at her once.

Mukti thanked me by hugging and left without looking at Manik once.

" I am sorry for yesterday, Nandini. I am sorry for talking like that and I am sorry for my behaviour. If you want me to apologize to your friends, I will do it. But please don't ignore me.You know I have never got love since childhood because of it I become insecure..." Manik apologized to me.

" It's okay. I will forgive you cause you have realized your mistake, that is enough for me. If you want to apologize to him you can but not for me or the cause of me. The apology will be meaningless.." I told him my point of view. I noticed his hand was injured.

" What happened to your hand, Manik? " I asked holding his hand. Manik didn't reply to her.

" Result of your anger, isn't it. The audacity of you to come here without treating it. You stay here till I bring the first aid box." I scolded him and brought a first aid box to treat him.

I put his hand on my thai with the help of cotton I started applying oniment. He hissed. I blow his hand so that the pain will reduce while applying oniment.

" Nandini don't be angry, please. When you said you would leave me, I couldn't control my anger. I started punching the punching bag without gloves.." Manik is trying to coax me but I am getting more upset with his behaviour.

" You are angry that doesn't mean you will hurt yourself, Manik. There are people who care for you and want to see you fit and fine,Manik. It is not the way to deal with the anger, Manik not at least if you want to have a future with me.." I give him advice so another time he thinks about my word before hurting himself.

" We will talk about ourselves but before that you need to talk to Mukti. A colleague of mine was saying that. Mukti was murmuring about her parents while dropping her here. I thought she would feel awkward if she came to know that I know it. So, I don't mention it to her...." I give him the much needed information but he looks unsure.

" I promise you, senior. We will talk like a mature couple. But for now your friends need you. You need to be with her.." I give assurance while squeezing his hand. He looks emotional and couldn't compose himself from pecking her forehead.

" I feel blessed for having you in my life, Nandini. I wanted a girl who always understood the depth of my friendship with my friends. You don't know what they have sacrificed for me. If I get time I will tell you..."Manik became emotional I didn't know my words would affect him so much. I gestured for him to leave and he left.

He is changing or this is the way to show off that he is in love with me. I know the fact that he doesn't love me and is acting.
