Manik's pov

I am searching for Nandini and I can't even get a glimpse of her. I don't know why but I feel Nandini is ignoring me purposely.

Nowadays, she hasn't come to study in the library. She isn't in the garden where she eats her lunch.

When I call her or message her she won't pick up the call and see the message. She has been playing hide and seek games with me and I am not liking it at all.

I can't even go to her home. What if her adoptive parents won't like it ? What if they are conservative and take her away from me ? I can't take a risk until I get what I want from her.

After that whatever happens to her is not my business.

It was going great and everything was going according to me but I don't know what happened to her suddenly.

Today, I will meet her and confront her. I was waiting for her as after some time her break is going to end. I know the Nandini type of person won't miss the class whatever reason it is unless the reason for missing class is severe.

The bells ring and the students start coming into the classroom. When I see Nandini, I grab her hand and start dragging her away from everyone.

No one dares to raise their voice. One glare from me her friend Navya who was going to block my path stood rooted in her place.

" Manik, Leave my land.." Nandini yelled trying to free her hand from my grip.

Instead of calling me senior, she called me Manik which means the matter is serious.

I took her in the garden and started confronting her while holding her hand. Nandini is busy in trying to free hand from my grip.

" I won't let you go until you tell me what's going on and why you are ignoring me.." I said. After trying for some time when she knows she can't win against me. She hugged me and started crying. I rubbed her back and started soothing her so she calmed down.

" What happened, Nandini..? " I asked her. She didn't say anything instead took out a small piece of paper from her pocket and gave it to me.

The paper states that " Stay Away from Manik and leave Mumbai as soon as possible otherwise it won't be good for your family.." Although the word " from Manik " is slightly different from the rest of the words written in the paper.

" I am sorry Manik, but I don't want history to repeat... I will not let anything happen to my family... I love them a lot.." Nandini said while hicupping. I wipe her tears and hold her both hands with my hand and start rubbing her hand to soothe her.

" I am here baby and no one will dare to harm your family until I am here.. Shh.. and calm down.." I tried to coo her and it worked and she stopped hicupping.

" I don't want any harm around them. I think it is Nyonika Ma'am who sent me the note. The other day when I visited your home she was the one who went inside the home and the next day she was present when I was in your home. She might have thought that something was going on between us. Even though nothing is going between us.She doesn't like me due to my status. So, she decided to threaten my family. I know this type of case, Manik as I have seen my nearest one suffer. So, I can't be your friend Manik anymore. So, please stay away from me." Nandini joined her hand and requested me. I won't leave you, Nyonika. This time you have crossed your limit.

I was surprised when Nandini said Nyonika let her in the house. Nyonika won't let Nandini type of person in the house unless she has a motive. That means Nandini is absolutely right.

Just wait and watch I will show you what I can do when you muddle into my business. But now I need to handle her.

" Nandini, I promise I won't let anything happen to your family. I promise you that I will make Nyonika apologize to you in person. I will talk to Nyonika about this matter" I said but Nandini nodded her head in no and refused to listen to me.

I held her face with both of my hands and made eye contact with her and asked, " Don't you trust me.."

" Yes, I do.." Nandini said while maintaining eye contact. I feel happy. I succeeded.

" Then trust me, please.." I requested and she nodded her head.

" Why do you think there is nothing going between us..? " I asked in a whispered. She lowered her eyes and I held her chin and made her look at me.

" Amms, Chacha and Chachi won't agree with this and I can't hurt them. I am sorry, Manik.." Nandini said and ran away while sobbing this time I didn't stop her. I smirked looking at her. Now, I know what she feels for me then I even know how to get her back. Run away as much as you can Nandini. But at the end you have to get back to me.

You come to Mumbai by your choice but whether you will go from here or not it will be my choice.

Don't worry about your family, my love? I will convince them, surely.

Why am I thinking of convincing her family ? I am just with her for the time being. I don't wanna get myself into any family drama. I can't handle it. Already Nyonika is making my life hell. I don't want to lose my mind so soon.

Thinking about Nyonika the anger I was hiding is coming back. Why can't she mind her own business ? This time I will show her the consequences of messing with Manik Malhotra.

About Nandini, I know how to convince her.
