"Damn, I finished Chapter 4 that quickly, but the ending still left me on a cliffhanger," she muttered.

Her obsession with the game was undeniable. The lore fascinated her to no end, fueling an insatiable curiosity that kept her coming back. Even after five years of playing, she never grew tired of it—the story was still unfolding, and she craved every new piece of the puzzle.

"Well, anyway, time to get to work," she sighed, reluctantly tearing herself away from the screen.

Beyond being a devoted gamer, she was also a brilliant doctor—so brilliant, in fact, that some considered her borderline psychopathic.

Her intelligence set her apart, but it also distanced her from the emotions most people experienced naturally.

She had been winning prestigious awards since childhood, traveling across the world to contribute to groundbreaking research. Yet, despite her achievements, there was always something unsettling about the way her mind worked—cold, calculating, and dangerously sharp.

She's very rich at the age of 21. She's living the best life and gets everything she wanted with just a scan of her black card.

But one thing is missing in her life, a sense of excitement and unpredictability that her luxurious life lacked.

Whether it was high-stakes strategy games, intense survival challenges, or elaborate puzzles, she craved the adrenaline rush they provided.

But soon, even games weren't enough. The scripted victories and calculated risks felt hollow. She longed for something real-something that would push her to her limits, make her heart race, and remind her what it meant to truly live.

"Doc Yazmina! Something’s gone wrong with our experiment!"

The moment Yazmina stepped into the ward, she was met by a panicked coworker.

"What happened?!" she demanded.

Before she could get an answer, alarms blared throughout the facility. Suddenly, a dense, crimson-hued gas flooded the room. It was Poppy Gas—the very substance she and the other doctors had been researching.

Within seconds, everyone, including Yazmina, collapsed unconscious.

She had no idea how it was released or who was behind it. The last thing she saw before everything went dark was her coworkers collapsing beside her.

When she finally regained consciousness, her mind was hazy, her thoughts sluggish.

"Damn it… what the hell happened to me?" she groaned.

But before she could process anything, she noticed something strange—she was no longer in the lab. Instead, she was seated outside a doctor’s office, surrounded by unfamiliar faces. The hushed whispers and curious glances from the other applicants made it clear that something was off.

"Why does it feel like I’m here for a job interview?"

Her instincts told her to adapt quickly. Pushing her confusion aside, she grabbed the documents in her hands and scanned them, determined to find out exactly who she had become.

"Well it looks like I'm still the same... me"

"Next! Yazmina Fleur De la Vega!"

At the call of her name, she straightened up and stepped into the office. Inside, a middle-aged man sat behind a desk, his presence commanding yet somewhat familiar. Her eyes flicked to the nameplate in front of him, and something about it stirred a vague sense of familiarity.

"Well, it’s been quite some time since we’ve had a doctor as young as you," the man remarked, a smirk playing at his lips. "And with a beauty that captivates so effortlessly."

Something deep inside her itched to gouge out his lecherous eyes, but she held herself back, masking her irritation with a polite smile as if nothing was wrong.

The interview proceeded with a series of questions, but it was hardly a challenge for someone of her caliber. She answered each one flawlessly, her intellect shining through. A genius like her was a rare find—one they couldn’t afford to let slip away.

By the time the conversation ended, the decision was clear. Without hesitation, the man offered her the position on the spot.

"Welcome to Playtime Co. Factory! As a new doctor, you'll be starting your duties the next day. Since we have on-site dormitories for our medical staff, you'll be required to stay here during your time with us. You'll have a full day to settle in and arrange your belongings before beginning work. We appreciate your dedication and look forward to having you as part of our team!" The man stood up to congratulate her while scratching her hands a bit.

Yazmina tensed slightly at the unwanted contact, her sharp eyes flicking down to where his fingers grazed her hand. Disgusting. The urge to break his wrist right then and there was tempting, but she suppressed it, maintaining her composed demeanor. Instead, she simply smiled, withdrawing her hand as subtly as possible.

"Nice to meet you Yazmina! I'm Doctor Leith Pierre, the head of innovations here in Playtime Co. So expect we'll be meeting each other many times a day! You can now go" he introduced.

Now it clicked.

"Thank you, Mr. Pierre," she said smoothly. "I look forward to contributing to the facility."

Leith chuckled, his expression unreadable. "I’m sure you’ll do just fine, Doctor De la Vega. Playtime Co. values exceptional talent, and from what I’ve seen, you’re quite the rare find."

Yazmina merely nodded, choosing not to dwell on his words.

As she exited the office, she exhaled slowly, and Yazmina smiled. Now she knows that she transmigrated into her favorite horror game, Poppy Playtime.

The realization settled in, a slow, electrifying thrill creeping up her spine.

She had studied every corner of this world, but now? She was inside it. A smirk curled on her lips.

"This was going to be fun." She thought excitedly while smirking.

“Do you think she will be the best replacement for Doctor Stella Greyber, sir?” the assistant asked hesitantly.

Leith Pierre leaned back in his chair, his smirk widening as he watched the door Yazmina had just walked through. "Her presence alone commands admiration, not just for her brilliance in the medical field according to her records but also for the grace and confidence she carries. Orphans will find comfort in her warm smile, and she will be the best aid for my research aside from that stupid Sawyer"

The assistant’s lips pressed together. Something about the way he said "research" sent a chill down her spine.

"I hope so," she murmured.

But deep down, unease gnawed at her. She had been at Playtime Co. for years, seen how people entered this place full of promise—only to leave it broken… or never leave at all.

And yet, something about this new doctor unsettled her in a different way.

Yazmina didn't seem afraid.

She didn’t ask questions, didn’t hesitate, didn’t show even a flicker of doubt. It was as if she already knew what was waiting for her inside Playtime Co.

Something about the newly hired doctor felt off, but she brushed it aside, assuming exhaustion was clouding her judgment.

After all, Leith Pierre had been extremely picky during the hiring process, and it had taken quite some time to find the right candidate.

Now, she was relieved that a young, talented and a pretty doctor had finally met Mr. Pierre's high standards.
