You sat on the sofa in the living room of your apartment, chatting with the girls. Well, more so Noah gushing about Landon and how made Dan & Brady leave which was a relief to you as well since you didn't appreciate the comments he made about Noah and forever hated the man for trying to drug her as well.

"Jay, babe I got news for you," Jenna said and you had a feeling you already knew what it was.

You sigh, "When should I pick you up? If you're going with Lion then tell me when and where it is."

She gave you when and texted you where as you pinched the bridge of your nose feeling worried and stressed over this fight.

"I don't have a good feeling about this babes," you say with unease, looking down at your phone screen to see the girls looking at you worried.

Noah nodded in agreement while Jenna sighed.

"Yeah babe but it's Nick, he can kick Ronnie's ass." You smiled at her support before shaking your head.

"I'm going to be on the highest level of alert cause something is not sitting right with me about this fight," you saw as you put the phone on your bed and went to change so you could still hear them.

The fight was soon and you had to pick up Jenna who was sitting ready. Lion had gone with Nick to warm up and train before the fight.

You throw on blue jeans, a red tight fitted top and a black leather jacket. You grabbed your phone and did your usual natural make up before curling the ends of your hair to refresh it.

"No leather pants babe?" Jenna asked since you asked the girls when you were debating.

"No, something is making me feel so off so jeans. I can move better in these in case anything happens," you explain and grab your keys.

"Alright Landon is here, see you girls there," Noah said before leaving the call.

"I'm on my way babes," you inform before hanging up and driving off to Jenna.

You guys arrive at the scene, taking the elevator down to the ring. You both walk in and move to the side, Nick halting for a second, as his eyes watched you walk to the side. You both stood with a clear view as the fight was about to start and the pit in your stomach grew.

Nick took a quick glance at you, seeing your unease before looking at Jenna with questions to if you were okay.

Jenna mouthed 'uneasy' and Nick's worry grew slightly. However, the sound of the bell ringing made him look back and lock in for the fight.

He took the first few hits before gaining the upper hand on Ronnie. Noah also stood with you guys and Landon was there as well. You both turned to see a shadow quickly hide, and you turned to each other to confirm if you both saw that.

You looked down at your phone to see a message from an unknown number, you opened it and all the color drained from your face.

It was a picture of you three at the event, taken moments ago.

You knew the person who had hidden in the shadows previously sent it.

"I'll have to go. Tell him, Maddie please," You say, seeing Nick winning the fight but feeling the guilt of the fact he was protecting you and risking his relationship with his mother and Maddie.

As you were leaving, Nick backed away from Ronnie, who was hunched over. He saw you leave and Jenna quickly said something to Lion before going after you. Nick rushed over to Lion and asked where you were going, while Lion was trying to get him back in the fight as he was winning.

"What did she say," Nick yelled at Lion.

"Maddie, okay? Something about Maddie," he rushed out.

Nick realized her saying Maddie meant she wanted him to pick Maddie over her.

Save his relationship and permission to see Maddie instead of protecting her.

As you walked towards the area where the unknown sender sent the picture, you felt your senses become highly alert. Jenna told Lion about Maddie before following you, confused about why you were there. Noah had an idea you were going to check on the person as she stood there worried for you now.

"Babe, what's going on?" You turn to see Jenna following you as you lightly push her back towards the ring.

"Nothing babe, I'll be back yeah," you say with a small smile to hide the real fear and unease that crept up even more in the area. She nods, not fully convinced but leaves.

You grab a rod that was leaning against the wall and continue walking towards a shadow you see that was going towards the door leading to the hallway.

What you didn't see was Nick walking past and straight out the exit door, nor did he see you as you were further in the darkness. You jumped, hearing something outside, as you walked forward with a tight grip on the rod, checking your surroundings.

"Hey," you yelled and ran after the figure you saw running out of the exit.

You slam the exit door open and see the figure hop in a car before the car speeds away.

You looked up at the sky before hearing chatter and seeing some watchers standing at the door. You walk towards the dispersed crowd, noticing Jenna and Noah with Landon and Lion.

You run up to them saying, "Hey, what happened here?"

Jenna turned and hugged you tightly, "Oh thank god you're here and okay."

"Babe what happened," you ask again, even more concerned seeing some blood on the pavement.

Jenna, Lion and Landon explained everything.

"Ronnie took his car," you shouted in shock.

They nodded as you ran a hand through your hair, pacing.

"Shit, shit. Ronnie is planning something big, shit where is Nick?"

They informed you he was being dropped home. You turned to Noah to quickly ask if Landon was dropping her home or if she was coming with you as everyone knew you were going to Nick.

Noah joined you as she was worried sick about where you had gone and if you were okay. She held your hand the whole drive, feeling relieved you were okay.

You pulled into the parking lot and ran up to his room. You opened the door to see him frantically typing on his phone.

"Nick," you said softly, as he turned around so fast, he may have nearly got whiplash. His eyes shined under the moonlight as his expression went from stressed and worried to relief.

"Oh my days, Jay," he quickly rushed forward, dropping his phone and hugging you tightly. You hugged him back but eased how tight you held him when he hissed in pain.

You pulled back, holding his face in your hands.

"Oh my Nick, what did they do," you ask concerned. Your eyes followed from seeing the bruise forming near his eyes, upper cheekbone swelling and the cut on his nose.

Your shoulders dropped as you looked at him and he kept his head down.

You lifted his shirt, as his toned stomach came into view, but so did a large bruise that looked ugly.

"Sit down," you instruct as you help him to sit.

You felt horrible, seeing pain written all over his face.

"Give me two minutes, yeah?" You caressed his jaw as he nodded.

You quickly ran to the kitchen to get an ice pack for the swelling and came back, placing it against his face. His face scrunched again in pain.

"I know, I know," you say softly.

"Just keep it there yeah? It'll help with the swelling," you finish before going into his bathroom for the first aid he kept under the sink.

"Need your shirt off, you need to ice where you got kicked as well, " you say as he smirks.

"Need or want," he teases and you hit his shoulder.

"I will leave," you warned and he wrapped his hand around your wrist.

"No, you won't, I won't let you." You smiled before directing his hand to place the ice on his stomach as you cleaned up the cut on his nose.

His eyes held so much affection, care and appreciation for you as you carefully worked on his face.

Soon he was cleaned up and left with a dried cut that'll scar on his nose and slight bruising at the inner corner of his eyes. The swelling was reduced from the ice he kept pressing on his face after you got the bleeding to stop and placed a bandage over it.

Once you had put everything back, he pulled you back to stand in front of him and wrapped his arms around you in a hug, his head resting against your stomach.

"Thank you," he said quietly in the silence of the night.

"We need to talk about what happened tonight but we'll chat in the morning now, yeah?" You look down at him, your thumb rubbing along his cheek.

He hums in agreement as you continue speaking, "I need to go home now, it's really late."

"Stay the night," he said as he gave the look that meant no arguing on it.

"Fine," you agree and he tells you to wear his clothes, which you would gladly steal.

His sweatpants and shirts were a bit baggy as he was a few inches taller but the perfect kind of baggy. You washed your makeup off before walking out. He smiled seeing in his clothes.

"Someone looks comfy," he teased and you smiled.

"Your clothes are very comfy I must say," you reply and he pulls you down on the bed.

Your eyes widen as you hit the bed covers and he hovered over you before pressing his lips against yours.

You kissed him back as one of his hands rested on your waist while yours made it's way around his neck. He pulled away, resting his forehead against yours.

"As much as I'd love to continue, I'm in a bit of pain at the moment," he said, breathing a little heavy.

"Get off me so I can go to the guest room then," you say slightly pushing him back but he doesn't budge.

"Who said you're sleeping there?" He shut the lights before laying on top of you.

"You're sleeping here with me tonight. Now get some rest love," he softly said before placing a kiss on your neck and getting comfy on top of you.

You smiled, running your hands through his hair as you felt him smile lightly before falling asleep.
