Chapter IX - The Grand Gathering

Dr Lazer unlocked his bedroom door and started to make his way downstairs. He tried desperately not to cause a disturbance as he specifically stepped on certain floorboards that didn't make a creaking noise. He decided to take the lift downstairs. Holding onto the rail, he listened to the music that was playing in the elevator. Startled, it was the same music that was playing in his dream. The unnerving music continuously played, making Dr Lazer create connotations towards when he was falling to his death in his nightmare. Instantaneously, Lord Horror Hill's voice rumbled through the megaphone placed in the corner of the lift.

"All Horror Hillians, please proceed towards the library where an important meeting will take place. Remember, don't be late!"

Dr Lazer had arrived at the bottom floor and was cautiously making his way towards the library. He peered around the doorway of the library to see Lord Horror Hill by himself pacing around the room. His gait erratically changed in a random pattern, sometimes appearing fast or slow. Dr Lazer silently traipsed towards his assigned seat and sat down before staring at the Lord. He thought deeply about what he had said in his nightmare and began to worry if Lord Horror Hill really sees him as a disrespectful Horror Hillian.

"Well done, Vincent, first to arrive!" Lord Horror Hill feebly spoke. Dr Lazer sat studying him in a cautious manner, not responding to his statement.

Soon after, everyone arrived. The whole library was in an awkward deafening silence, except for Lord Horror Hill - the host.

"Hello, citizens of Horror Hill, I would like to say that we will be burying Butler Burns in a few days and that we will all be very respectful of his burial." Lord Horror Hill stated.

"We will also be visiting the cemetery and recalling the precious memories we experienced with him."

Crash! A loud thump came from the entrance of Horror Hill, and a booming voice screeched with anger through the corridors.

"We - Cobra - have come to take back Butler Burns! Liberate him at your own peril!" the voice blared.
