Chapter XIV - Assembling Shelter

Viscount Phantom's piercing eyeballs bulged out of their sockets, creating wrinkles around his eyelids as he continued to gaze down at Dr Lazer, who began puffing and blowing after carrying the great weight of Butler Burns. He wasn't the most fit of all the Horror Hillians.

Electro Von Poison had recently joined Horror Hill a year ago, after his hometown had lost a war against Cobra - who wanted to claim the town's precious relic. Ever since this had happened, Electro had been a mess of emotion. Lord Horror Hill greeted him nicely to the manor and made him comfortable with the rest of the Horror Hillians, but there was no chance that this was going to happen with Butler Burns when Electro had found out he was connected to Cobra. Ever since, he had been searching for a way to purge his anger - to cleanse his soul by unleashing the fury that had always burned within him. Now, to avoid the consequences that came with doing so, he knew he must hide the evidence.

"The forest is close now, fellow family. We shall put up a tent close to the river and continue walking tomorrow," Lord Horror Hill ordered the group.

Lord Horror Hill, in the past, had been fierce and foreboding, but now was a leader who came across as quite frail and careless. He wore a red velvet suit adorned with a gold thread and a top hat.

The four of the Horror Hillians got ready for bed, but Electro Von Poison, who had been asked to take Butler's casket inside the tent, had different ideas. Why should he have to take a coffin inside of someone who he had abhorred so much? Had the Lord found out that Electro wasn't going to follow his orders, he would have been in great trouble. Electro carefully dodged Lord Horror Hill's legs and climbed into his sleeping bag. He stared through the mesh window at the colossal casket, which lay next to the trunk of the tree, the timber coffin soaking up all the moisture in the moss-covered ground.

Viscount Phantom had noticed there was an aspect of rivalry between Dr Lazer and Electro. That was ever since Dr Lazer had, had this theory that Electro had swapped his medication for poison that killed the Butler. Viscount Phantom knew Electro very well, and he believed that this would have never been the case.
