Chapter XV - The Tempt of the Tomb

As soon as Viscount Phantom, Lord Horror Hill and Dr Lazer had gone to sleep, Electro Von Poison felt the urge to exit the tent after he heard a gurgling noise outside, which disturbed him from sleeping. The rain hammered like knives on the tent roof, which made Electro think twice about it. The others were dormant volcanoes he didn't want to wake. Electro knew very well he would be greatly punished for how he had disrespected the rules of Horror Hill. So, he needed to take the coffin inside the tent without the Lord seeing him or suspecting he had left it outside in the first place. Electro never knew why Lord Horror Hill liked a rotting Horror Hillian in the tent while he was sleeping, but to avoid trouble, he would bring it inside.

He knew he had to go out and make things right even though it was the last thing he wanted to do. He climbed over the outstretched feet and jerked the zip down, the wind battering the tent's roof. Exiting the tent, he glanced left and right into the depth of the moonlit woods, shining his torch into the gloom.

"Now where did I leave it?" Electro whispered, biting his lip, slightly concerned about where the casket lay as he was not partial to staying in the rain for too long.

Electro looked side to side, wary of the wood's inhabitancy and the animals that lurked within. Watching the torch dance around the trees in a juddery, flickering motion, he continued.

Startled, Electro trod carefully as he extended his arms for balance, conscious of whether he would end up in the worst of the swampy ground. Remembering where he had put it, Electro gasped, not at all shocked, but scared of the telling off he would be getting from the Lord. Turning his head, he couldn't imagine how he much would be detested after the group's realisation. Facing the truth, Electro knew that the coffin had sunken into the moist mire.

In rage and annoyance, Electro shouted to himself, "I don't care if they dislike me, I don't care that I killed..."

Electro quietened his voice, irritated at how he bothered to make things right. At that sudden moment, Electro tripped over a log, lost footing, and slipped into the mud, falling on his face and cutting his hand. Through gritting his teeth, he cursed himself as his eyes fell shut. Electro was unconscious, his head ringing.
