Athena’s Pov

“Just don't fucking fall down!” Ares whisper-yell to me.

I told them to stay in the car but they never listen. I could easily climb up the drainage pipe but both of them came to help me up and now they're constantly scolding me for doing this wrong when I haven't even taken a step up yet.

“I won't fall down, just give me some space to climb up.” I said frustratingly.

Ares and Hades didn't like the suggestion but still backed away for a split second before I placed one foot on a brick and they were back to my side to catch me if I fell.

I rolled my eyes at their overly protective nature and kept climbing up one step after another before I reached Tristan's window. I did have height phobia but his bedroom was just a story high which was the manageable height for me.

“Are you okay up there?” Hades asked, keeping his voice as low as possible.

I rolled my eyes and looked where they were standing with their arms still in the air as if I'd fall down any minute.

“I'm okay. Go sit in the car. I'll be out in ten.” I tried reassuring.

They both scowled and Hades grumbled, “We'll wait here. Come back fast.”

I sighed knowing how stubborn they are. It was useless to argue. I should instead focus on the task on hand.

I peeked through the window and saw Tristan peacefully laying down on his bed covered with a comforter.

It bothered me how relaxed he was while I was getting sleepless nights because of him. He didn't care. He was out like a fucking koala.

I didn't let my anger ruin my mood and slowly slid the window open. I sometimes wonder how easy it would be to kidnap Tristan because he was the complete opposite of a light sleeper. Once he’s out, you have to put a significant effort to wake him up.

I carefully lifted up one foot and swung it over the window. I fell inside the room with the second step and landed directly on Tristan's soft carpet.

He still hasn't stirred. So I slowly make my way towards him and take a seat beside him. He was laying on his side with both of his hands under his head like a baby.

He was shirtless, that's how he preferred to sleep. For a moment I considered laying beside him because I hadn't slept well for the past few days. But I couldn't, I had people waiting for me. I had to make it quick.

I placed my hand on his arm and tried gently shaking him awake. The thought of waking him up with a kiss crossed my mind but we hadn't got to that stage yet.

A groan left his lips when he gained a little conscience. “Tristan.” I called again and he finally opened his eyes.

“Athena?” He questioned squinting his eyes at me.

“Yes. Get up, I have to talk to you.” I told him ever so excitedly.

“What happened? Are you in trouble? How did you-” He sat up still confused about what's happening. “You snuck out?”

I shook my head. “I snuck in.” He gave me another confused look. “Leave it. I have something important to talk to you about.”

“Please tell me it's not another guy you just got a terrible crush on.” He chuckled.

For a moment I just sat there not knowing what to say. This has happened before. When I get too excited about a pedo approaching me or finally giving in, I sometimes come to tell Tristan because I can't contain the pride.

But now knowing how bad he must've felt, makes me feel guilty.

Tristan lightly elbowed me to gain back my attention. “Hey I'm kidding.” I gave him a small smile. “Of course I know… anyways so I wanted to tell you…”

I hadn't given much thought to what I would say in front of him. I just knew I wanted to go meet him right away and tell him everything that I felt. But what did I feel exactly?

“You know how we talked about how perfect we are for each other?” I asked, waiting for him to agree.

He narrowed his eyes at me. “Yes. And?”

“I told grandpa about it.”

“What?” He asks with wide eyes. “He's the only one at your home who actually likes me and you’ve told him everything? Are you out of your mind? What if he stops us from meeting each other?”

“Relax, baby girl.” I chuckled. “You know my grandpa. He's so chill.”

“But he doesn't like you dating anyone which probably includes me-”

“Tristan, he already knew you liked me.”

“How? The fuck?” Tristan cursed. It sounded good from him.

“I don’t know. Must've seen it on your face.” I shrugged.

Tristan got up from his bed and started pacing the room in stress. “What else did he say? Did he say I’m a moron or I broke his trust or I-” I cut him off because he wasn't planning on shutting up.

“Quite the opposite actually.”

“What do you mean?”

“He says you’re the right person for me.”

His worry immediately dropped and he kept looking at me for a few seconds before asking, “What did you say then?”

“What do you think?” I asked, getting up and walking towards him.

“Um I don't know…”

When I was in front of him I held his hands in mine. “I said I should have the right person.”

Tristan stayed quiet for a moment as if he's processing everything. “Only because… because I'm the right person?” He asked in a low whisper.

I shook my head. “Because you're the right person I want.”

He gulped looking at me like he’s out of words. “You… are you… why now- do you even know what you're saying?”

“I know what I'm saying, Tristan. I've made up my mind. I want to do this. I always thought you never wanted me so the silly little attraction I had for you —when I proposed you for marriage at just the age of four— I suppressed that attraction as we grew older. What was just your disinterest became your rejection for me when I turned into the person I shouldn't have. I thought you don’t want me for my actions. But…” I stepped even closer to him and cranked my neck up to look him directly in the eyes. “Now I know you want me. And there could be nothing better than that. Better than us. Together.”

“Are you saying we should-”

“I'm saying do you want to do the boyfriend-girlfriend thing with me, T-Rex?”

“Seriously?” Tristan scowled and stepped back leaving my hands. “Is that supposed to be a proposal? What's the boyfriend-girlfriend thing?”

I couldn't help but laugh at how cute he was when he's complaining. Before he could move away I grabbed his forearm and tugged him towards myself before getting on one knee in front of him.

His mood instantly changes to seriousness as he holds his breath looking at me. I gulped knowing for sure that this is what I want and I’ll have him tonight.

“My darling Tristan Anderson,” A smile appeared on my face. “Will you be my boyfriend?”

His eyes teared up and looked like he would faint from happiness. He leaned down to grab my arm and pulled me up to draw me in a hug. His arms locked around me tightly and he squeezed me like he's making sure this wasn't a dream.

“I love you so much, Athena.” He whispered into the quiet.

“I love you just as much, Tristan.” I whispered back.

It must've been a whole minute and he stood silent, clinging to me like he never plans to let go. I gently pushed at his side and after several seconds his arms finally loosened up.

“You haven't answered my question.” I pointed out, narrowing my eyes at him playfully.

“Of course I'll be your boyfriend, stupid.” He huffs with a smile never leaving his face.

“I guessed so.” I winked at him.

His cheeks and neck were a deep shade of red and I loved the memories it brought back. I liked the shy Tristan. He’s been a torture when I wasn't sure about crossing our boundaries but now I knew he was mine. I won't let him have the upper hand anymore.

“Um… I think we should kiss now…” He mumbled looking away like he didn't intend for me to hear it.

I bit my lip to suppress a chuckle. “What did you say?”

I knew exactly what he said. But I loved putting him in a timid situation.

“Nothing.”

He moved back to his bed mumbling, “Isn’t it too late? You should go back home-” His face turned shocked as he turned back to me. “Wait, how did you come here?”

“Hades and Ares drove me here.”

His eyes widened to the point they'll fall out. “They know about us?”

“No. They think I suddenly had something really important to share with my best friend.”

“How did they agree to take you here at four am?”

“I have my ways.” I shrugged proudly.

Tristan shook his head. “They would’ve definitely gotten suspicious. We’ll have to be cautious now.”

“Chill, let's focus on our first kiss instead.” I blurt out.

Tristan stilled as I slowly made my way towards him. From the look in his eyes I knew he wanted this just as much and his nervousness was such a beautiful thing to witness.

My chest pressed just below his own and I encircled my hands behind his nape. His hands awkwardly came to rest on my waist and it was so adorable how he had stopped breathing in anticipation.

“You're gonna kiss me?” He asked, not believing me.

“Well if you want a blowjob instead then just say it.”

The remaining confidence dropped from his face and he looked to be thinking about it until I heard him mumble, “Ares and Hades are waiting for you…” It seemed like this was the only reason for his denial.

“So…? You’re okay with the kiss right?”

It was his idea but I still wanted to make sure as it was his first kiss. Which he had always saved for me.

“Absolutely.” He bit his lip taking a breath. “But I might suck at it…”

I gave him a reassuring smile. “It's okay. I'll teach you.”

He nodded at me and leaned forward to press his lips with mine. My eyes closed automatically and almost instantly he started sucking on my lower lip. His movements were too hastily, his lips were moving in an urgency and hands were pulling me as close to him as possible.

He seemed impatient and I understand why. He's waited a long time, he deserves to have me now.

Butterflies fluttered in my stomach knowing we’ve crossed a major boundary. There was no turning back now, neither did either of us want to.

I reciprocated each of his movements with composure so I could make this good for him. His tongue darted out and when I touched it with mine, his grip tightened on me.

I know he intended our first kiss to be gentle but it was evident I needed to teach him a lot.

I tried sucking in a breath but he wasn't giving me any breaks. He was ripping the fruit of his patience and he was taking as much as he could.

His hands moved from my waist to the back of my head and he pushed my face further into his own. My eyes teared up at the lack of air while Tristan kept sucking and licking my lips like his life depended on it.

He didn't plan on letting me breathe so I had to gently push at his chest. He immediately dropped his hold from me and pulled away, panicking.

I breathed hard as I looked at him palming his face. “Shit! I'm so sorry. Did I do something wrong? I shouldn't have held you so tight. I'm sorry I thought you wanted it-”

“Tristan,” I cut him off when I've finally gathered some oxygen in my lungs. “You did nothing wrong. I was just out of breath.”

Relief took over him and his face relaxed as he sighed. “Oh thank God. I thought I forced you.”

I shook my head and a smile formed on my lips as I stepped forward to cup his face in my hands. “You know you're the first guy to ever think about my consent…”

The realization really overwhelmed me. The men I've been with could see I wasn't comfortable with so many acts but because I never voiced my discomfort, they never cared.

This only made me more sure of my decision. Tristan was indeed the perfect guy for me.

He smiled and leaned forward to lightly peck my lips. “I'm so happy you're finally mine. You don't know how long I've waited for you.”

“I'm so happy being yours, Tristan. I could never feel for anyone what I feel for you.”

He closed his eyes and pressed his forehead against mine. For a moment we just stood like that. It was peaceful. More peaceful than I've felt in a long time.

“Everything's finally getting better.” I whispered as we pulled back. “I’ve gotten better at life, grandpa's happy that I’m changing, Zephyr’s there for me and now you…” I pecked his lips again. “I got you too.”

I sighed looking at his innocent face. “I don't deserve all this. Which is why I keep feeling something's gonna go wrong.”

Tristan shook his head before placing a gentle kiss on my head. “Don’t jinx it. You deserve it all.”

I nodded, exhaling a breath. “I think I should go before either of them climb up to check.”

I came climbing up but I always left through the front door. Tristan gave me one final goodbye kiss before locking the door behind me as I went to where Hades and Ares were standing under Tristan's bedroom window.

“Are you done?” Hades asked, eyeing me weirdly.

“Yes.”

“What was so important?” Ares questioned as we walked to the car.

“Just a silly school project.”

“We've been this age before and you can only tell a fool that this was all about a fucking school project.”

“Fine.” I groaned. “I suspected I was pregnant so I thought I should come ask Tristan for guidance.”

Both of the men stopped in their steps. When I looked back they had shocked and almost concerned expressions on their faces.

“You're pregnant?” Ares gasped.

“I suspected I was.”

“So you’re not?” Hades asked, holding my hand as if he's hoping my words aren't true.

“We wouldn't know until we do the test.”

“Oh fuck!” Area exclaimed.

“Let’s go to a hospital.” Hades tried being the mature one.

I chuckled at their reaction. “Chill, I'm just joking. I wouldn't lose my car like that.”

Hades looked at me confused. “What car? What're you talking about?”

“Grandpa promised to get me a car on my eighteenth birthday if I beat teen pregnancy. So don't worry, I'm very determined to get that.”

Ares crossed his arm over his chest. “You were lying to us!”

“Sort of.” I shrugged and got in the car then called after them. “Let's go. I'm really sleepy.”

Ares took the wheel and Hades sat beside me in the back. They couldn't interrogate me further as I soon dozed off on Hades’ shoulder.
