Zephirion’s POV
The moment the chamber doors opened, I halted my pacing, my eyes narrowing on the royal physician as he stepped out.
"Well?" I demanded, my voice sharp.
The old man simply smiled, an infuriatingly knowing look in his eyes. "You should go see the lady yourself, Your Majesty," he said smoothly. "She will tell you."
I frowned. "What?"
Instead of answering, he simply bowed. "My work here is done."
Then, without another word, he turned and walked away, leaving me standing there with more questions than before.
I clenched my jaw. I hated being left in suspense. If something was wrong with Aeris, why wouldn’t he just tell me?
A chuckle broke my thoughts.
“Well, looks like you’re not getting an answer out here,” Valerian drawled, amusement dancing in his crimson eyes.
Caelum smirked. “Better go ask your wife.”
I shot them both a glare before striding toward the chamber doors, my heartbeat annoyingly uneven.
Pushing open the door, I stepped inside.
Aeris was sitting on the bed, looking at me.
And the moment I saw her expression—a mix of shock, nervousness, and something else I couldn’t quite place—I knew.
Something was different.
Something was about to change everything.

Aeris’ POV
I sat on the bed, my fingers clutching the sheets as I tried to process everything. My mind was a whirlwind, my heart pounding so hard I thought it might escape my chest.
This can’t be real… Can it?
The moment the door opened, I snapped out of my thoughts.
Zephirion stepped inside, his piercing red eyes immediately locking onto mine. His presence was as commanding as ever, but this time, there was something else in them—something uncertain.
I swallowed, my throat dry. My lips parted, but no words came out at first.
He took a step forward. "Aeris," he said, his voice low, demanding.
I exhaled shakily, gripping the sheets even tighter. I had to say it. I had to tell him. But how?
My gaze met his again, and suddenly, I found myself whispering, "Come closer…"
He frowned but obeyed, stepping toward me until he was right in front of me.
I took a deep breath. My fingers trembled slightly as I reached for his hand, placing it gently on my stomach.
Then, looking into his eyes, I finally said the words that would change our lives forever—
"Zephirion… I’m pregnant."
