I know I said I'd be updating over break and I understand you guys want me to update more but I have A LOT going on right now. I've had a rough few months. I just lost my Grandpa two months ago, the doctors found more cancer in my Dad's spine, family issues and I'm struggling with maintaining school and a full time job. I'm not trying to put all of my business on front street, but please don't harass me about updating because I'm doing the best that I can.
Victoria
I took a deep and sat down in the seat Teddy pulled out for me. It was just about an hour ago that I talked to his wife about what he's been up to lately and it still had me feeling some type of way. I wasn't upset or anything, the conversation just wasn't sitting right with me. Just because she and Teddy are going through it, what gives her the right to get advice from me about the man she took from me?
Regardless of me feeling a type of way about Milan, I still went out to dinner with Teddy tonight, mainly because Jayvion was working late tonight. Teddy was in town for the night and offered to take me out to dinner, so I just agreed to go. I'd prefer to be having dinner with Jayvion but I'd never turn down free food, even if that means having to spend an hour with Teddy.
"You've been quiet ever since I picked you up," Teddy commented as he sat across from me.
I slightly shrugged my shoulders. "I don't have much to say."
"And why's that? You normally got a lot to say."
"It's nothing."
I picked up my menu and tried to open it but he snatched it out of my hands. "The hell is wrong with you Tori? Earlier today you were excited about getting dinner with me, now you pissed. If you don't wanna be here, just tell me now before we order the food."
I sighed. "It's not you Teddy."
He raised an eyebrow. "Is it that nigga Jayvion? You know, I told you I'd fuck that ni--"
"No," I cut him off. "My fiancee and I are perfectly fine."
"Is it the kids?"
"No."
"Damn. Then who the hell is it? I'm tired of playing this guessing game with you. Just tell me who it is and I'll check them."
"The girl you're baby sitting had the nerve to call me today about you."
His eyes widened. "Who? Milan?"
"Yup," I nodded my head.
"A'ight, look, first of all, that's a grown ass woman so address her as such. I respect that lil' nigga Jayvion so respect my wife. What the hell she call you talking about me for?"
"She wanted advice from me on how to keep you interested because she feels like you guys are drifting apart. It's a bunch of bullshit, if you ask me."
"What did you tell her though?"
"I told her not to call my phone about you because I could care less about y'all's relationship because it has nothing to do with me. I don't know why she called me about you when she knows full well I don't like her. You need to check her because I don't appreciate her calling me in the middle of the day on tip about some more of your bull shit. If y'all got relationship issues, keep that shit in Atlanta but don't let your baggage follow you out to California because I'm not here for it."
He sighed. "Damn. Y'all been talking about me?"
"She called that one time but she won't be calling anymore. I blocked her number because I'm tired of her. Are you gonna talk to her?"
He nodded his head. "Yeah."
"And check her ass?"
"Yes."
I rolled my eyes. "Thank you."
"Under one condition though."
I sucked my teeth as I looked up at him, only to see that he had a huge smile on his face. I knew he was about to tell me more of his nonsense so I took a deep breath. "What?" I asked.
"Come out to Atlanta for awhile."
I hate coming out to Atlanta, primarily because I feel like I'm stuck having to be around Teddy the entire time. I don't know anything about the city and my kids are either at work or living their own lives. They can't be around me 24/7, so that means I'll have to be stuck with Teddy and with Teddy comes Milan. I don't want to be spending days around my ex-husband and his new wife. Plus Atlanta's just full of a bunch of wanna-be reality stars, rappers, actors and all around entertainers.
"No."
"Why?"
"Because you know I don't really like coming out there. I don't like the vibe at all."
"I didn't either when I first got out there. It's a lot different than Cali but it's something you'll get used to over time. What about spending the summer out there with me and the kids? I'm sure you'll wanna come out there, especially since I'm thinking about going on vacation this year. You know, I'll just take the whole family on vacation just to get away from things for awhile. How do you feel about that?"
"Our family isn't like how it used to be Teddy."
"I know and I'm not trying to make it like how it used to be. I just wanna spend some time with y'all."
"I appreciate the effort but you know a vacation isn't what we need. What we need is a counselor, a therapist, somebody to help us work through our issues. And once we all work through our issues then a vacation would be nice but not right now. The vacation would just be ruined with all of our family."
He scrunched up his face. "What issues does our family have? I thought we were good."
I rolled my eyes. That's one thing I can't stand about him. He's never able to see what's right in front of him. We've had ongoing issues for years that never get resolved. Our issues are deep rooted. "We're never good Teddy. You don't like Jayvion, I don't like Milan, Theodore and I still have a strained relationship, Isaiah hardly comes around or talks to anybody anymore and don't even get me started on your baby mama. And Lindsey is just too caught up on Cashmere to understand what's going on around her. And you know good and got damn well King can't stand you."
"I ain't did shit to your crazy ass Dad, Victoria. That old niggas' been hating me for years for no reason. He's just looking to start shit with me because he doesn't have anything else to do with his life."
"No. You constantly disrespect my Dad like you're doing right now. He's not going to respect you until you show him respect. And since you don't respect him or anyone else then he won't respect you or anything else you do or say."
"I only got respect for a handful of people."
"Like who? Because I can't recall anybody you've ever respected."
"I respect you and...," he trailed off in silence, I guess trying to find somebody else to lie about. Teddy knows he doesn't respect me because if he did, he wouldn't have done half the shit he's done to me in the past. "Damn. I guess I just respect you then."
"You don't or else you wouldn't have cheated on me twice. You fucking cheated on me for years with Milan and even got engaged to the broad while we were still together. Are you crazy?" I laughed. I was just so confused about why I was the first person to come out of his mouth. "Teddy, you have absolutely no respect for me."
"You might not see it but I really do. I'm not even gonna lie, there was a point in time when I had no respect for you because of the way you treated me in the kids and that's no excuse for what I did to you in the past but you've earned my respect. The past few years of us just being friends changed our relationship and my perspective on you. You earned my trust and respect as a woman and the mother of my children. It might not seem like it but I value the time we spend together and your opinion because how you view me really effects the things I do. All I want is your approval because I know you want the best from me and our family."
I took a deep breath. Damn. And all of these years I just thought he was keeping in contact with me to get some p*ssy but I guess not. Maybe he has changed a little bit, but it's about time. It was time for him to let his fuck boy tendencies go years ago and I'm finally glad he's starting to.
"Well, thank you for respecting me Teddy. I don't just want you to put your all into me when you have another life down in Atlanta. As crazy as this may sound, I want you to spend time with your wife and have her earn your respect too. Because at this point in our lives, my opinion shouldn't effect you, only Milan's. And with that being said, are you fucking around on her?"
He sighed. "No."
I starred him in his eyes, trying to find a lie or some way to know that he was deceiving me but I couldn't. I can normally tell when he's lying because he can never look me in the eye or just give me a straight answer but right now, he wasn't lying. He had been telling the truth about not sleeping around on her. She was just paranoid because she was sleeping around on him.
"Tell your wife that then."
"She doesn't believe me."
"I wouldn't either since you're away from home for weeks."
Teddy sucked his teeth. "Milan's exaggerating. I'll kick it with her for an hour or two once of twice a week. We don't do much but fuck but I'm not away from her for weeks like she says I am. The only times I'm away are when I'm working and that's the fucking truth. I don't know why she just can't believe me."
"Because of your past. You need to show her that you've changed. You've shown me that you've changed but you need to let your wife and your children see the change in you. I know you're a good guy but you don't need to prove anything to me anymore. Prove it to your wife. Prove that bitch wrong."
Teddy chuckled. "A'ight, I'll do that Tori. You good now?"
"Yup," I nodded my head as I looked down at my menu. I wish Teddy would put more effort into his relationship with Milan instead of trying to please me. I just don't understand him. Why is he stringing this girl along if he really doesn't want to be with her? He just needs to drop her and get rid of the burden of constantly having that little girl around. "Hey, can I ask you something?"
"What's up?"
I sighed as I put my menu down. I know I'll sound like a bitch for suggesting this but fuck it. "Why don't you just get a divorce and save yourself the headache of dealing with her? Because it seems like every time she's bought up, you get angry or upset."
"And if I divorce her, then what? Who am I gonna be with?"
"You don't need to be with anyone to make you happy."
"Yeah," he scoffed, sarcastically. "That's easy for you to say when you're fucking that nigga Jayvion. Man, don't hit me with that divorce bullshit Victoria. I'm with Milan for a reason. I know our relationship has issues but which relationship doesn't? Ours was far from perfect so don't judge what you don't know."
"I'm not. I'm only judging what you've told me about her. And I know our relationship was toxic; that's why we aren't together right now. Sometimes you might love a person but that doesn't mean you have to be in a relationship with them. Loving them could mean letting them go. Take us, for example. We let our marriage go and ultimately that strengthened the bond we have as friends and maybe you should consider doing the same thing for Milan."
"Nah."
I frowned. "Why not? I'm tired of hearing you complain about that broad when you can fix the situation you're in."
"I'm in too deep to just leave her now."
"No you aren't. You two signed a prenup. You take your shit and she takes hers and you two go your separate ways. She can go to the nigga she's cheating on you with. Remember that? You didn't go out of your way to look at the bill from the Hilton to just stay with this broad after she's been cheating on you for several months. You're innocent here Teddy. She's the bitch that's fucking up and you need to stop being a bitch and drop her ass. You're such a dumb ass. How can you just let that broad play you like this? You're paying her fucking bills, gave her shelter and gave her food. Shit! You're fully supporting her and she's still fucking you over. Man the fuck up," I demanded.
I starred at Teddy, waiting on a response from him but he didn't give me one. He just kept his head buried in his menu as if I hadn't just read wife for all the filth she's done to him. In no way, shape or form am I jealous of Milan or wanting to get back with Teddy but I know right from wrong and she's wrong to be treating him this way. Yes, Teddy probably deserves this for all the shit he's done in the past but he hasn't done anything bad to Milan. He's been nothing but good to her so I don't understand why she's stepping out of her marriage.
Theodore III
"What's up Club Reign!" Jaz announced as she took the stage at the club party she was hosting tonight. "How are y'all doing tonight?"
From the second floor in VIP, I'd say Jaz looked nice tonight. I mean, she never looks ugly but she looked good tonight. She had on this tight two piece outfit. The shorts barely covered her ass and the top covered her boobs, only they were spilling out of the top so the outfit left little to the imagination.
"Damn," Lindsey dragged out as she reached across the table to grab the bottle of Patron, "I hope this bitch doesn't embarrass herself tonight."
"Don't worry, she knows what she's doing," Donny butted in. "And why you talking so much shit anyways? You jealous?"
"Never that."
"Well it seems like it. Where's your little nigga at anyways? Pleather's fat ass."
Lindsey rolled her eyes. "Don't worry about where he is. Worry about yourself."
Adonis smirked. "Oh, y'all must've broken up again."
Lindsey frowned, finally sitting the bottle of Patron down. "What the hell is your problem tonight Adonis?"
"Nothing."
"Clearly it's something. You were fine when we first walked in here and as soon as that bitch Jazmine left to host this lame ass party, you decided you wanted to act like a little ass bitch."
I sipped on my drink, watching the two of them argue right in front of me. I wasn't getting into shit tonight, especially not with these two. I know Jaz and Adonis got into it right before she went on stage, which is why he's so pissed off. And I can just tell from Lindsey demeanor and the fact that Cash isn't here, that some shit went down between the two of them recently. So since the two of them are on edge, I decided to sit back and watch the show.
Adonis slammed his drink down on the table. "I ain't no fuckin' bitch Lindsey."
"Well you're acting like one," Lindsey sipped her drink. "If I didn't know any better, I'd say you were pissed off about that little bitch of yours."
"Why do you care so damn much anyways? You saw us get into it, so I don't know why you're commenting on what the hell I'm doing with my bitch. Why don't you worry about your own failing relationship?"
"Oh shit," I mumbled.
Lindsey's eyes widened. "Why do you always have something to say about my relationship?"
"Why don't the two of y'all just fuck each other and stop fighting so damn much?" Danity, Lindsey's friend, spoke up. "We all know y'all feeling each other so y'all might as well since y'all have so much sexual tension."
Adonis scrunched his face up. "Well you stay out of my business, you dirty ass bitch? I'm not sleeping with my cousin, so get that thought out of your head."
"Don't call me a dirty ass bitch!" Danity yelled. "You're a dirty ass nigga! You've slept with half the broads in this city and got the nerve to comment on whether or not I'm dirty. Fuck you, Donny!"
"Fuck you bitch and keep my name outta yo fuckin' mouth!"
Lindsey smirked. "And if she doesn't?"
Donny frowned. "Why are the two of y'all idiots tryna jump down my throat tonight? I ain't did shit to y'all. Fuck the two of y'all."
Before I could even get a chance to duck, Lindsey tossed her drink in Donny's face but he was quick. He quickly moved out of the way, not getting any type of alcohol on him, but everything got on me. From my face down, I was covered in Patron. Damn. Why does shit like this always happen to me? Even when I'm not in it, I always get fucked over in the end.
"Damn bro," Donny dragged out as Patron dripped down my face.
"What the fuck!" I yelled, standing up. "Y'all all some immature ass mother fuckers!"
"I'm so sorry Theodore." Lindsey quickly stood up and grabbed napkins to try and clean me up but I pushed her away from me. "Let me help you."
"Nah, you good. Stop fuckin' throwing drinks like this is Basketball Wives or some shit. Y'all too old to be throwing drinks on people. Grow up."
I walked right past them and downstairs to the bathroom so I could dry myself off. Damn. I knew tonight was gonna be crazy but I was really expecting Lindsey and Jazmine to be getting into it, not Lindsey and Donny. I don't know what the issue is between the two of them but they're too damn old to still be going back and forth and throwing drinks like they're kids. And somehow I always get caught in the crossfire.
"This is some bullshit," I mumbled as I snatched paper towels out of the dispenser. I wiped the Patron off of my face but my YSL jeans were ruined, to say the least.
"You know you could just take those to get dry cleaned and they'll be good."
I recognized that voice. I quickly turned around to see Aubrey walking into the bathroom with a smirk on his face. I heavily sighed. "I know but it's an inconvenience seeing as though I didn't ruin my pants."
"I know. I saw everything go down when I was walking in," he said as he folded his arms. "Who was that nigga up there with Lindsey? 'Cause he looked awfully familiar."
"Don't worry about it," I replied.
So far, I've successfully kept Aubrey and Donny away from each other. Since Donny was the one that pistol whipped Aubrey back in high school and helped me leave him in front of EJ's burning warehouse that night, I knew they'd have some animosity towards each other. So I was trying to keep the two of them separated for as long as possible but they just might have to cross paths tonight since we're all supposed to be in the section together.
"You gotta let me know who I'm chilling with nigga. It's only right."
"You don't even know him. And even if I told you who he was, you still wouldn't know him so just chill. It isn't that big of a deal."
"Fine, whatever," he shook his head. "How'd you get a drink thrown on you in the first place?"
"They were up there fighting like a bunch of bitches and I got hit in the cross fire."
Aubrey chuckled. "Damn. I'm gone for five years and the same stupid shit is still going on. I would've thought all of y'all would've grown up without me around."
"Me? I grew up and I'm handling what's mine but I can't say the same for the rest of them."
"Clearly. Aye, so when am I gonna be able to meet everybody? I mean, I been back in town for a few weeks now and Iv'e stayed low key like you've told me and I've been putting in work for you. I held up my end, now it's time for you to do the same."
I scrunched up my face as I turned to him. Who was he to be giving me ultimatums? "What?"
"Nigga, you heard me. I did everything you told me to do, including leaving my family in California."
"Hold the fuck up blood, I never told you to do that. You decided to do that on your own."
"But still, I left my family and came out here to get my shit together a--"
"And didn't I say I was gon' help you out?" I cut him off because I was just getting irritated hearing him complain. Who was he to call me out about not bringing him around everybody after everything he's done to us? I gave him food, money, a job, clothes and shelter when he randomly popped up in Atlanta. I'm not looking for any recognition from him for that.
"Yeah b--"
"And didn't I help you out blood?" I cut him off again.
"Yeah b--"
"Ain't no more buts about it though. I did everything I told you I'd do. I told you about the event tonight but you gotta chill if you wanna see everybody. You on tip right now and you're really acting like a fuckin' ham."
Aubrey sighed. "My bad. I'm just a little nervous. You know how I get when I get nervous fam."
I shook my head as I washed my hands. "Yeah, I know but you need to just chill. Tensions are already high and bringing you around will only escalate things but you being on tip isn't the move tonight. Just chill and follow me upstairs. And don't say no stupid shit either."
"A'ight, cool but lemme tell you something real quick."
"What's up?"
Aubrey walked up to me so he was only standing a foot away from me and looked me in the eyes. "Look fam, I've known you since we were kids. I'm tryna respect you since I came to your city but don't treat me like I'm one of the little niggas working for you. I know we fell off for awhile but we was still niggas for years so don't treat me like some little bitch you tryna boss around. You know I'm not here on no goofy shit so you don't have to act like this."
I sighed. "My bad. I just gotta keep my guard up around these niggas man. It's nothing against you."
Aubrey smiled. "It's all good but I gotta ask you one more thing."
"What's up?"
"Is Lindsey seeing somebody? You know, I'm tryna shoot my shot with her," he smiled.
I frowned. Damn. After all these years, I would've thought he'd move on from this little crush he had on my sister. "Look, I wouldn't waste my time if I was you. She's raising Daniel and she's on and off with this little nigga I'm gonna have to get rid of in a minute. I would say to go for it but she has too much going on right now."
"What if I just took her out or something?"
"Shit, if she even lets you. Shoot your shot but you might get shot down. Can we go now?"
Aubrey nodded his head and we finally left the bathroom. I pushed my way through the crowds of people while Aubrey followed closely behind me. The entire walk back to the section my heart was beating fast because I was nervous about how everybody would react to seeing him coming back with me.
"Shit," I mumbled as I climbed the steps. Jazmine made it back to the section. Before I got to the top of the steps, I turned to Aubrey. "Just follow my lead and act casual."
As if everything was normal, I walked right into the section and sat down in an empty space on the couch while Aubrey did the same thing. He plopped right down next to me and I heard everybody stop talking as soon as he sat down. I didn't know how to approach the situation of informing everybody that he was back, so I did what I do best and didn't say shit to anybody.
I kept my head down to avoid everybody's stares and reached out for a cup but Jazmine stopped me.
"What the hell is he doing here?" she asked.
I took a deep breath and finally looked up, only to see everybody looking my way. "Look, he got outta jail a couple of months ago. He came to Atlanta because he wanted to get back in touch with us. He's been here for a little over a month now."
"So you weren't going to say anything to anybody?" Lindsey asked.
Aubrey laughed. "You knew I was here Lindsey. I was at your crib when I first got back."
I scrunched my face up. "Excuse me?"
Lindsey sighed. "Aubrey came by about a month ago. I didn't say anything because I didn't want you worrying but I guess I should've said something since you guys are friends again."
"I wanna know when y'all got cool again and didn't tell me."
"I didn't say anything because I wanted to make sure he had good intentions before he came around everybody," I explained.
"Does he have good intentions?" Jazmine asked as she looked at Aubrey.
Matter of fact, we all looked back at him just to validate that he has good intentions.
"Yeah, hell yeah!" Aubrey replied. "I got good intentions."
"He wouldn't be around if I thought he wasn't genuine."
"I'll be the judge of that," Jaz commented. "How come you never wanted to come around anybody sooner if you've been in town for over a month? Why were you listening to what Theodore had to say? Can't you make decisions on your own?"
Before I could even stand up for Aubrey, Lindsey jumped down Jazmine's throat as expected.
"Because my brother knows what he's talking about. I'm glad you're back Aubrey," Lindsey smiled.
Aubrey smirked. "I'm happy to be back. Jaz, I know you probably don't wanna see me or hear anything I have to say but I'm sorry about all the shit that went down between us before I got locked up. I really am. I know I did you wrong and I didn't treat you right because I was dumb but I'm sorry for putting you through everything I put you through mentally, emotionally and physically. I apologize for all the shit I ever did to you."
Jaz fixed her outfit as she stood up. "That's nice and all but don't think you can just come back and apologize and everything is gonna be all right. It's not. You fucked me over and I don't wanna hear anything you have to say because I don't trust you," Jaz told Aubrey before she turned to me. "And you need to get your head out of the clouds. This isn't the same nigga we grew up with. He changed and I know he doesn't have good intentions."
"How do you know?" Aubrey asked.
"Because every time you come around, some dumb shit always goes down!"
"You haven't seen me in over five years."
"So I'm sure nothing changed. You're still the same immature nigga you were before you went to prison."
"You don't even know me Jazmine, I've changed," Aubrey explained.
"And I don't care to know you," Jaz replied as she downed her drink. "I'm about to continue doing my job. When I get back, I don't wanna see anymore lame niggas in my sections."
Lindsey folded her arms. "Who's lame?"
"You know I'm talking about you bitch."
"Jaz, chill," I sucked my teeth.
"You know, I've had enough of you talking shit about me bitch," Lindsey replied as she stood up and came around to the side of the table Jazmine was standing at. "I know you're insecure with yourself because every nigga you've ever had or wanted wants me but you don't have to be like this sweetie. I know you sucked up Cashmere but he turned you down because you're disgusting. You sleep with all of my leftovers because you want to be me."
Jazmine chuckled. "Why the hell would I want to be like you?"
Lindsey smirked. "I don't know but it's obvious you're envious of me. Cashmere doesn't want you, he wants me. Aubrey doesn't want you. Donny is only fucking with you because you're a freaky whore. And my brother doesn't want you either. You're a disgusting slut."
"Finally somebody told her the truth since she's been walking around like she's the shit," Danity laughed since her ghetto ass always has to cosign Lindsey when ever some shit goes down.
Jaz turned to Danity, "Shut your fat, ghetto ass up. Both of y'all fat, hood rat bitches can kiss my ass especially you Lindsey. I don't want Cashmere because he's fat and sloppy just like you. You can take that cheating ass nigga because I don't want a nigga that's constantly cheating on me. I can name about three broads in this room that have fucked him."
"I hope you included your hoe ass in that."
Jaz smirked. "I sure did. You need to check your man, not me."
"I'm checking you because I don't like you. I didn't like you before you gave my man head and I don't like you now."
Aubrey leaned over to me. "Who's her man?"
"Don't worry about it," I shook my head.
"Whatever," Jaz rolled her eyes. "Lose a few pounds bitch."
"Why don't you find something new to say? You've been calling me fat for years and I'm still pulling more niggas than you."
"Hey! Can y'all break this shit up! I'm tired of hearing y'all broads go back and forth all night!" Donny finally spoke up. "Y'all annoying as shit."
"Control your hoe," Danity laughed.
I could see it in Jazmine's eyes that she was pissed off, so this time, I got out of the way before the drinks began flying. I flew over to the other side of the section right as Jazmine dumped an entire bottle of New Amsterdam all over Lindsey but it wasn't long before Danity snuck Jazmine from behind. Me, Aubrey and Donny stood back and watched the three of them go at it. Well, Jazmine was holding her own but she was no match for two other girls fighting her. But trust and believe if this was a fair fight, Jazmine would've won. Lindsey can fight but she's weak compared to Jazmine, Danity too.
"Damn. You ain't gon' break them up?" Aubrey asked me but I shook my head.
"Nah, I'm not getting in that shit."
I already had a drink thrown on me once tonight, I'm not getting into anymore shit. Lindsey can hold her own since her and Jaz have been going at it for years. She knew this was coming and it's nothing but a small fight. They both deserve to get a few licks in and maybe that'll shut the two of them up for awhile but I'm not pulling them apart.
"HEY! BREAK IT UP LADIES! BREAK IT UP!"
The other people in the section cleared out as soon as security ran upstairs with flash lights in their hands. Three security guards ran in the sections and immediately broke up the altercation but wasted no time dragging Lindsey and Danity out of the club. The other guard held Jazmine's arms behind her back.
"Let go of me!" Jaz yelled as the guard drug her out of the section. "I'm working! I'm hosting this party!"
"Oh well, there's no fighting and you need to leave. You and your friends," the guard said as he pointed to Aubrey, Donny and I.
Donny sucked his teeth. "Man, this some bullshit! We was just chillin'."
"Not from what I saw. All of y'all can leave, right now."
I swear, I'm never going out with Lindsey, Danity or Jaz again. I figured they'd want to be women tonight since they're out in public but I guess they don't care about the way they look. I have a reputation I need to keep up in this city and getting kicked out of a club like Reign is embarrassing. Getting kicked out of any club is embarrassing. They're all too damn old to be getting kicked out because they can't control themselves.
We all followed the security guard outside and as soon as we got outside, Lindsey and Danity were standing on the curb still talking shit as Jaz got drug away by security.
"Lindsey! Let's go!" I yelled to her.
Lindsey wasn't drunk but she was in no shape to drive herself home, so as usual, I have to be her little big brother and take care of my grown ass sister. Lindsey grabbed Danity's hand and followed me to the parking lot where my car was at. I put the both of them in the backseat before climbing in the front and zooming out of the parking lot.
"It's on sight the next time I see that hoe," Danity told Lindsey.
"Nah, ain't shit on sight," I butted in. "Why can't the two of y'all just go places without causing a scene all the time? Y'all too old to be acting like this. Y'all jumped her."
Lindsey shrugged her shoulders. "If she wasn't talking shit to two bitches, she wouldn't have gotten her ass kicked by two bitches. Don't lecture me Theodore. You know she's been fucking with me for years now."
"You're just upset."
"Hell yeah, I am."
"Ion know why you fighting bitches over Cashmere anyways. He's cheated multiple times. It's not just the broads, it's him. The broads don't need to be loyal to you, he does. He's taking advantage of you and you're looking like the fool because you keep on fighting broads over him and still going back to his lazy ass."
Lindsey rolled her eyes. "Whatever. You never see me dealing with Cashmere but I do. I check him about the shit he does but I'm not mad at Jaz just because she gave Cashmere head. All the shit she did to you, I'm over her. And she's rude."
I sighed, running a hand down my face. "That shit is in the past and you need to leave it there. I'm not even thinking about all the shit that happened in the past and you shouldn't be thinking about it either. I'm over it. Since you claim you value my opinion so much, do what I'm doing and just let the shit go because it really doesn't mean anything," I said as I turned down her street.
"I'd be able to let it go if she hadn't started throwing drinks or putting her hands on me."
"She was wrong for fighting y'all but you and Danity jumped her and beat her ass, so y'all even now."
"Nah, we're not," Danity replied. "Now I have an issue with the bitch since she thinks it's all right to throw drinks over a small disagreement."
I shook my head as I pulled into Lindsey's driveway. Clearly there's no getting through to the two of them tonight so I guess I'll have to try at another time. "Lindsey I'll see you tomorrow. Danity, you getting out with Lindsey?"
"No, I have to go to work tomorrow. You gotta take me home baby."
Lindsey climbed out of my car, followed by Danity. Danity came up to the passenger seat while Lindsey walked around to my side of the car. "I appreciate you taking me home Theodore but you need to choose whose side you're on because I don't feel like you have my back. I don't know what you wanna do but you need to be on my side because I'm your sister."
I sucked my teeth. "I'mma forever be on your side but you need to do better. I'm not fighting your battles for you anymore. If you wanna run your mouth, you gon' have to have hands to back yourself up. Atlanta ain't nothing like California. Niggas and everybody in their family knew us and our family and the shit we've done in the past but here, it's different. Niggas only know what they see because we're still trying to put our mark on the city. If you can't handle yourself out in public, don't run your mouth and that's all I have to say about the situation because I'm tired of you and Jazmine always fighting. Grow the fuck up. You're tarnishing our reputation."
"Whatever," Lindsey rolled her eyes. "I can handle myself in public."
I waved Lindsey off and rolled my window up as she continued to talk. I don't wanna hear anything else she has to say because she knows she's wrong. I pulled out of Lindsey's driveway and drove down to the end of the street before I stopped at a stop sign. I turned to Danity. "Where you live Danity?"
She smirked. "Why? I wanna chill with you tonight."
"I got shit to do in the morning."
"So do I, but an hour won't hurt."
I looked down at my watch and saw that it was almost three in the morning. I had to be up by seven so I could get Princess ready for school. I really shouldn't be doing anything else tonight but Danity does look good. I sighed. "I only got an hour to spare and you bet not say shit to my sister." I looked over at Danity, waiting on a response but her stripping down in my front seat was enough of a response for me.
