Victoria
It had been five months of me living with Milan and Teddy, well, Teddy. Milan really hasn't been around too much since I moved here. I guess she's intimidated by me because she makes sure to keep her distance from me whenever I'm around. She doesn't eat dinner with us, she doesn't attend events with Teddy so I'm forced to be on his arm and she doesn't even sleep in the same room as him anymore. Well, that's Teddy's fault. If he isn't sleeping in one of the empty bedrooms, he's out half the night or sleeping in the room with me.
We haven't had sex. We haven't touched each other since we got a divorce years ago, we're just friends, but I feel more like his wife than anything. Milan isn't around enough to take care of her husband. I don't know where she goes or what she's doing, but she can't be upset when Teddy hits her with divorce papers. She acts as if she's just living in his house because she doesn't interact with her so-called husband at all.
But it doesn't hurt me that she isn't around though. I really don't want that bitch around my family. Ever since I found her sucking my son up, I just can't look at her straight anymore. I used to think Teddy left me for some goody-two-shoes bitch, but I can see Milan isn't so different from me. Milan's a dirty, filthy bitch that's putting on a front for everybody but I'm not fooled by her little front. I see straight through Milan and I know she's sleeping with more than just my son. She's gotta be, but I'm not going to say anything. I'm going to let the pieces fall into place because it's none of my business and I'm not going to seem like the crazy, jealous ex-wife any longer.
I turned around in the mirror, looking at how my butt sat in the new dress I was wearing. Jayvion was taking me out tonight. I haven't seen him in months and he finally decided to visit me in Atlanta tonight by taking me out. He had to fly out here on business and he wanted to see me before he went back to California. I was excited to see my future husband, but more so curious since he decided to push back or wedding. It was supposed to be in June, but here we are in July, with no wedding or new wedding date. I just want to know what happened.
I stepped into my shoes, grabbed my purse and pulled my bedroom door open, only to find Teddy on the other side as if he was about to knock. He looked me up and down with a smile on his face. "Well, you look beautiful. I think this is the most beautiful I've ever seen you. Turn around and lemme see what'chu working with."
I chuckled and turned around for Teddy so he could see how I looked in my dress. I knew I looked good and the look on Teddy's face only confirmed my thoughts. "You like the dress?"
"I like you in it," he smiled. "I'm telling you, if I wasn't marri--"
"Yeah, yeah, yeah," I waved him off. "But you are married."
"Not for long."
I scrunched up my face as I walked out of my room and closed the door behind myself. "Huh?"
"I came up here to tell you about where I've been the past few hours. I was with my lawyers. We drew up a copy of my divorce papers," he said as he unbuttoned his suit jacket. He pulled a rolled up stack of paper out of his pocket and waved it in my face. "All I gotta do is sign it and give Milan her copy to sign and everything will be done. She'll be getting out of my house and we can move into the master bedroom like we should be in right now."
I rolled my eyes. "Slow your roll Teddy. You know Milan isn't going to take those papers that easily and she isn't going to settle for whatever cheap settlement you and your lawyers made up. And I would never stay in a room where another bitch stayed and you're out of your mind to think I would."
I walked around Teddy and began walking away from him, hoping he'd get the hint that I didn't want to be mixed up in his divorce but he didn't care. Teddy followed closely behind me and continued telling me about the dealings of his marriage as if I was supposed to care. At this point, all I was really concerned about was getting outside to meet Jayvion since he was outside waiting on me.
"We already signed a prenup so isn't not really shit she can do or take from me."
"She's a battered woman. She's going to want something for her pain and suffering."
"And how would you know?"
"Because when I divorced you, my lawyer said I could take everything you own for what you put me through."
Teddy scoffed. "It figures Jason would try to clean my pockets, but why didn't you take everything I owned?"
"First of all, his name is Jayvion and you know that. Secondly, I didn't care to take anything from you. Because unlike Milan, I didn't get fired from my job because of my failing marriage and I didn't let it dictate my career. With or without you, I was still gonna be making money. See Teddy, you're messing around with a little girl that hasn't been around long enough. This is your karma."
"Karma for what?" Teddy asked as he followed me down the steps.
"Karma for all the shit you caused me and your family and what you're still putting your youngest son through. This is what you get and when all the truth comes out, it's gonna bite you in the ass Teddy because everything Milan's been doing is right under your nose, only you were too blind and nonexistent in your relationship to notice it all. But look, I really have to go. I have a date."
Once I hit the bottom of the steps, I tried walking away from him but he grabbed a hold of my arm and pulled me back.
"Man, Victoria what'chu talking about? What has Milan been doing under my nose and who the hell you going out with?"
I snatched my arm away from him and sighed. "Teddy, stop. Be more aware in your relationship and you'll see everything going on, like who ever it is your wife is cheating on you with. And don't worry about who I'm going out with. Just don't wait up for me tonight because I might not be coming back tonight. Good night Teddy."
When I turned and walked this time, Teddy didn't follow me or pull me back but he did continue speaking.
"Why are you coming back tonight?" he asked.
"Don't worry about it."
I hurried and walked out of the house before he could respond again. I know Teddy's hurting and bored with his relationship but I can't let that affect me or my relationship. I've already been away from California for about six months, so I haven't seen Jayvion in six months. We talk every now and then but we're both busy and I'm more concerned about the future of my relationship than Teddy's because he should've known this would eventually come. He's a damn fool to think he and Milan would've stayed together longer than they already have. Hell, I'm surprised they've been together for this long. I was more than sure they wouldn't make it a year.
I immediately spotted Jayvion's car past the gates and that put an instant smile on my face. It's strange going from seeing somebody every single day, to not seeing them at all for six months. By the time I reached Jayvion's car outside of the gates, I was a little thrown off by his appearance. He said we were going out to dinner but he wasn't even dressed up. He had on a dingy t shirt and sweat pants while I wore an olive green Balmain dress. I wish he would've given me the memo if we weren't supposed to get dressed up for dinner. I wouldn't have wasted time, makeup, getting my hair done or buying this dress. I could've put on sweats too.
I stood in front of the passenger door, waiting on him to open it up like he usually does but he didn't. He was too absorbed in his phone to notice me standing there. I peered in a little closer to the window so I could see what he was doing. He was texting somebody but I couldn't see who it was. He sure was involved in the conversation though because he was sending whoever it was multiple messages at a time.
I sighed and tapped on the window, causing him to quickly look up from his phone. The smile that was previously on his face was replaced with a frown when he saw me standing in front of him. He just starred at me though. He didn't even get out to open the door for me. He shook his head as he rolled down his window.
"Why are you just standing there? Get in," he spat.
I frowned. "I was waiting on you to open the door baby."
"It's not that big of a deal because this won't take that long. Get in."
I scrunched up my face. "Huh? What do you mean? I thought we were going to dinner."
"Change of plans," he responded. "Can you get in so I can explain myself?"
"No. Why didn't you tell me before? You had me get all dressed up just to cancel on me on the one night the both of us had off in six months. This is bull shit Jay! You could've called me hours ago. What the hell is going on?"
"I don't want to get married to you."
I gasped, completely caught off guard by his comment. For months, all he's been talking about is getting married and our life together once we get married. He proposed to me! Now he wants to throw it all away, but for what? I didn't do anything but be a good fiancee to him. "Excuse me?"
He sighed. "Can you get in so I can explain?"
I snatched the door of his car open and plopped down in the passenger's seat with my arms folded. "Jayvion, what the hell is going on? Just a few weeks ago you were talking about still getting married even though you pushed the date back, now all of a sudden, you just wanna call the whole thing off. I'm not understanding this. We've been together for years. You begged me to marry you even though I said I didn't want to get remarried."
"Well now you won't have to and you won't have to have a boyfriend either."
I scrunched up my face. "What? Where is this all coming from?"
"You think you can just up and leave me for six months and move in with your ex husband without me thinking something was going on? You were only supposed to be gone a few weeks so you could visit your kids. I was cool with that, especially since you said you'd be staying in a hotel. But then I find out you're shacked up with your ex while his wife is right down the hall. You know I don't like liars and you blatantly lied to my face."
"I didn't! I was originally supposed to be staying in a hotel but Teddy offered I stay here so I wouldn't have to waste money. I know I've been gone longer than I expected but I needed to be around my family. You gotta understand that."
"I thought I was your family Victoria."
"You are bu--"
"Shut up," he cut me off.
"No, you shut the fuck up bitch! How could you just switch up on me like this? My family needs me and I couldn't leave them hanging."
"I don't wanna hear it. You can stay down here with your crazy ass ex husband and twisted family because I'm done with you. I don't wanna get married, I don't wanna be with you no more and I don't want you living with me. When you get back to California, or shall I say if you come back, expect your shit to be sitting outside of my apartment."
I chuckled. "My apartment that I'm paying for that's in my name? I'd like to see you try it."
"Oh, you know I know my way around the court room. You know I'll find a way to get your name off of the lease and get you out of the apartment. Oh, and I guess you didn't think I'd find all that money your ex was giving you either. You should really hide your shit better because I found it stuffed in one of your purses in the closet. A hundred racks. Where the hell were you doing to be getting that kind of money from him?"
I frowned. "How the hell could you go through my shit!"
"It's in my fuckin' house so I can do whatever the fuck I want! I was curious about what was going on between the two of you so I went digging for answers. You fuckin' him for the money?"
"No, and even if I was, it was keeping your broke ass alive."
"Ohh," he smirked. "That makes sense then. He must've been pimping your old ass ou--"
I swung my arm back and punched Jayvion in the face. My engagement ring hit his top lip and busted it, which is exactly what I wanted to happen. I don't know what his issue is but he was beginning to talk a little bit too reckless for my liking. Where the hell would he pull some shit like Teddy's pimping me out?
"Look, you got me fucked up Jayvion if you think you're gonna sit here and disrespect me, my ex or my family. The reason shit hasn't worked out with us is because you're an immature brat who thinks the world revolves around him. So fucking what I left for awhile. You could've visited or called. I bet you were shacked up with some bitch, weren't you?"
Jayvion smirked, even though blood was running down his face. "Of course I was. I even fucked her on our bed and gave her some of your shit. That's how I came across the money. I gave her the Chanel bag you had the money stuffed in. You won't be seeing that bag for awhile old ass bitch."
I shrugged my shoulders. "I can get a new one," I calmly responded, even though I felt my temperature rising on the inside. I really wanted to beat his ass or stab him in the throat for violating me and my shit but I'm trying to be an adult about things and not let my temper get in the way of having a rational conversation. But the more shit he talks, the more I feel like pulling out the pocket knife I have in my purse and just slashing his bastard ass up. I opened up my purse and just kept my hand on the open pocket knife just in case I needed to use it. "Where the fuck is my money at?"
"I took it."
My eyes widened as I got a firmer grip on the pocket knife. "What!?"
"You heard me bitch, I stole it and spent it on my new bitch. She's everything you couldn't be. She's young, beautiful and she isn't on medication because she's a psychopath."
"Fuck you Jayvion!"
Those were the trigger words to get me to pull the knife out on him and jam it into his thigh. The last thing I want is to be on medication at my age but it's the only thing that's kept me stable the past few years and Jayvion knew that. I can't believe he'd throw it back in my face.
"AHHH! Fuck!" Jayvion yelled as he looked at the pocket knife sticking out of his thigh. "You crazy ass bitch! Look what you did to me!"
"No! Look what your stupid ass did to me! You drove me to be like this and since you think I'm such a psychopath, I'll show you a psychopath." Jayvion was in too much shock to process what I was saying at the same rate of time as my movement, so I quickly pulled the knife out of his leg, causing him to scream out in agony but I started slicing the mother fucker up. I drug the knife down his arms, stabbed him in the legs and finished it off by stabbing his stupid ass in the shoulder. I wanted to kill him so badly but I wanted him to always remember the day his stupid ass crossed me. He'll be with these scars for the rest of his life, if he's lucky. "You haven't seen all of me yet bitch," I said as I mushed his head into the steering wheel but he was too busy crying and screaming. I guess he didn't think I was this crazy. "Wait until I'm off of this medicine and I'm gonna come back for your ass. You better watch out bitch."
I made sure to pull my knife out of his shoulder before I got out of his car. He continued screaming but stopped just to say something else before I slammed the door on him, "I'm gonna kill you bitch. Just wait."
I smirked. "I'll like to see you try."
I slammed the door close as hard as I could on him just as the tears started rolling down my cheeks. I can't even lie and act like I'm not hurt but Jayvion just dumping me. I really didn't have strong feelings for him and I cared about him a lot. I wanted to get married to him because he made me happy but it's clear he's no one I should be with if he can't even trust me to stay with my husband. There's no trust in the relationship because he broke it because he was messing around with other women. He was just guilty with his own self, which is why he blamed it on me when I'm the innocent one.
I walked back into Teddy's house with tears streaming down my face and cloudy vision from all of my tears. All I really wanted to do was go back up to my room and just crawl in my bed for the rest of the night but I couldn't. Teddy and Milan were arguing again and it sounded like they were close, so I didn't bother going upstairs. I stood at the bottom of the steps listening.
"So you're just going to hand me divorce papers and put me out!?" Milan yelled. "Teddy, I've been nothing but a good wife to you! You neglected me!"
"You've been fucking around on me for months! Yo ass neglected me and ran to some other man for comfort! I'm not sharing no bitch with some other nigga and whoever the nigga is, you can tell him to come see me."
"I stopped when you told me to!"
It was silent for a moment before I heard a loud crash upstairs and then Milan started screaming at the top of her lungs. My hear rate sped up when I heard loud foot steps upstairs. It sounded like Teddy was chasing after her, but for what? How could he get this pissed off tonight when he already knows she was seeing another man and has the hotel bill to prove it? He should've been this enraged months ago instead of letting the bitch stay in his house for all of this time. He should've kicked her ass out months ago.
I sniffed a little, trying to wipe y tears away but they just kept coming out and the more I listened to Milan and Teddy fight, the more hurt it made me. Teddy and I allowed these toxic people to come between our relationship and ruin us as a couple and as individuals. We should've been stronger than this.
"Who's the nigga? Who is it?" Teddy yelled as his voice got louder.
They were at the top of the steps now.
"Why do you need to know?" Milan yelled and I could tell she was crying. "You already threw a fucking table at me, don't you think we're even now? I shouldn't even have to tell me since you haven't told me about all the bitches you've been fucking like your old ass, ugly ass pig of an ex wife you've got in my fucking ho--"
Milan was cut short by another crash. My eyes widened as I looked up at the steps and saw Teddy holding Milan up against the wall by her neck. I've never seen Teddy get this mad before. Sure, he's been pissed off at me before in the past but he's never choked me. I didn't know Milan made him this angry. I guess their issues are even more deep rooted than I thought they were.
"Look, I'm getting tired of your dumb ass disrespecting me. I been told you I haven't been fucking any other bitches but I should have since you've been fucking some other nigga. Who is!?"
"I'm...not...telling you," Milan slowly spoke since Teddy was still choking her.
I could hear Milan trying to fight him now but as small as she is, she's no match for Teddy. "Who is it?"
"You really wanna...know?"
"Yes bitch!"
"It's your son, Theodore! He's been fucking me."
I could've passed out right now. I really didn't think she was dumb enough to give herself and Theodore away but she's a lot dumber than I expected her to be. I just hope Teddy doesn't take his anger out on Theodore.
"Why the fuck you lying on my son bitch?" Teddy asked as he slammed her up against the wall. "He wouldn't touch your dirty ass with a ten foot pole! Nobody wants you! You're sloppy, you're pathetic and you're a sad excuse for a woman."
"I'm telling the truth bastard."
"I fucking hate you!" I heard Teddy yell at the top of his lungs. "I know you're fucking lying, so get the fuck out of my house!"
"Gladly."
I saw Milan push past him and she began walking down the steps. Her hair was a mess, she had pieces of glass all over her and I could see Teddy's hand prints where he was choking her. Damn. I wish he would've killed this bitch.
"And you bitch," Milan began as she looked in my direction. "You can bring your ass here. I'm ready to give you the ass beating you deserved months ago bitch."
I was hurt and angry at Jayvion but I've been waiting to get my hands on this bitch for years. and nothing can stop me now. I stood at the bottom of the steps waiting on her to get to the bottom but I didn't feel like waiting anymore. I ran up the steps and met her half way, just as the two of us began throwing blows at each other. I hate this bitch and what she's done to my family so I took all of my anger out on her. Not just anger for her, but anger for what Jayvion did to me.
Milan latched on to my hair and tried pulling me down but that didn't stop me. My clip on pony tail just slid right off in her hands, giving me a chance to knock her crazy ass down. I kicked her in the back of the knees, making her entire body buckle beneath her. Milan went screaming at the top of her lungs as she lost all control of her body due to gravity. We were at the top of the steps and nothing was going to stop her from getting to the bottom. Her body went rolling down the long stair case until she hit the bottom, leaving Teddy and I to stare at her limp, lifeless body in an all too familiar state of affairs.
Theodore III
I stood behind Daniel on his right side and leaned down to his ear. "When you want to shoot the gun, you gotta stand straight up and slightly bend your arms. You're gonna be scared and you're gonna be nervous but don't let that get in the way of you shooting your intended target. And don't be a bitch and close your eyes either. You gotta be a man and face who ever it is you're trying to shoot. And remember, shoot to injure, not kill."
"You wait until you're standing over them to put that final bullet in and kill the mother fucker so they can see your face," Isaiah added.
Daniel swallowed hard. "But what about when the blood splashes back on me?"
"You bring a pair of grown man pants to change into," I told him. "Stop acting all scary and just pull the damn trigger."
I stood behind Daniel and waited for him to shoot the gun. I wouldn't be teaching Daniel this. I would've left this up to Grandpa to handle but after my conversation with Lindsey, I figured it was time for him to be groomed into the family business. He's going into the business in the future and he's going to help run things, so he might as well get started early, especially since he needs to defend himself against Cashmere and protect Lindsey.
I could see Daniel's chest quickly moving up and down as he held the gun with shaky hands, quite similar to the way I held the gun the first time Grandpa had me practice shooting. I was scared shit less, and even more scared when I caught my first body, but I eventually got over that nauseous feeling and Daniel's going to have to do the same thing. Once you get used to pulling the trigger, it just becomes second nature and you'll eventually get numb to the sound of the gun, the recoil of the gun, the blood splashing back on your face and the sight of a dead body.
Daniel squeezed his eyes shut and was about to pull the trigger but Isaiah stopped him.
"Stop closing your eyes and just shoot. Look, pretend it's your worst enemy standing in front of you doing something that you know isn't right. Who do you love the most in this world?"
"My Mama," Daniel sighed.
"Alright, well every time you have to pull the trigger, think of Lindsey. Think of her being in trouble and you have to protect her from the worst person in the world and the only way you'll be able to save her is if you pull the trigger and injure and or kill the person standing in front of the gun. Think of somebody and pull the trigger," Isaiah told him. "Can you do that?"
Daniel nodded his head. "Yeah, I think so."
Isaiah stepped back from him and Daniel put his arms back up to aim the gun at the target, which was just a cardboard cut out shaped like a person. I could tell he was still nervous but he was going to have to get over his nervousness at some point. Daniel finally unloaded the clip and shot the gun at the target. A few bullets didn't even come near the target but one hit he stomach and another hit the arm, which was good enough to me. On his first time, if he could at least injure the person then that was good since he still needed more practice. He'll be able to shoot and aim in due time.
Daniel lowered the gun before he turned to Isaiah and I. "How was that?"
"Good but stop acting like a little bitch," Isaiah laughed as he too the gun from him. "And make sure you don't tell your Mama about tonight either."
"I don't like to lie to her."
I shook my head. "Well, you gon' have to lie to her some day. Tell her we were just chilling tonight. We went to the movies, went to get something to eat and then we went back to my crib so we could have a man to man talk with you. We talked to you about how it's gonna be when you go to high school, girls and preparing yourself for the future. I don't know, just make some shit up. Lindsey will believe it."
"Alright," Daniel mumbled.
"Damn. Y'all coming back upstairs or what? I'm tryna get to the cute bitches before they get sloppy drunk."
I turned to the steps and looked back at Adonis. We were practicing Daniel's shooting in the basement of my club. Nobody could hear us from down here since the music was so loud and Adonis was guarding the door so nobody could get down here.
"Yeah, we're coming."
Isaiah tossed me my gun, I reloaded it and stuffed it back in my pants before I started walking back upstairs. I needed to get upstairs to check out the club and see what my girl is up to. I really don't like her dancing at the club for every nigga in Atlanta to see but I can't force her to stop working here if she was working here well before she met me. I'm just waiting on the day she decides to stop dancing here, and I hope it's soon.
"Wait, what about me?" Daniel asked. "I can't go upstairs to the club. I'm only 14."
"Well, tonight you're gonna be 21," Adonis responded. "Who's gonna stop you when you're part owner of the club?"
Daniel scrunched up his face as he followed us upstairs. "Part owner? Where the hell are my proceeds at then? I don't have any money."
"Talk to your Mama about it," Isaiah told him.
As soon as we got upstairs, Isaiah and Adonis eventually walked away from Daniel and I since they planned on canvasing girls tonight but I just couldn't leave Daniel alone since he's so young. I sighed as I turned to Daniel. "I know you're out of your element right now, but I can't leave the club tonight so nobody can take you back home. Plus, who wants to sit at home on a Saturday night instead of being around beautiful women?" I smirked as I looked around at the women in the club. Tonight was women's night. The women got in for the low and the guys had to pay the normal amount to get in, so there were plenty of women here tonight.
Daniel smirked as he looked around the club. "Nah, I don't wanna sit at home on a Saturday night. How do I get a girl?"
I chuckled as I led him over to the bar since I was meeting someone here tonight. "You don't just get a girl. What do you want? A dance, to talk to one, sex? What? You need money to throw on the girls?"
"Well, I need a little of all of that. I do needs some ones and I want a dance from some girls."
"And sex?"
Daniel shrugged his shoulders. "I don't know. I wouldn't even know what to do. I just wanna watch tonight. So can I get a girl?"
I smirked. "Yeah, which one do you want?"
"Uh...," Daniel trailed off as he looked around the club. "Oh! That thick one with the long black hair standing at the bar."
I looked over at the bar and the only girl I saw standing over there was Mya, who was waiting on me. I shoved him. "That's Mya, dumb ass."
"Oh, my bad," Daniel laughed. "Well, it doesn't matter which one I get. I'll figure that out on my own but I do need some money though."
"Alright, I have money in my office," I spoke loud enough for him to hear. "You know the code to get into my office and you know the code to the safe. Only take out three bands but make sure you lock the safe and my office. A'ight?"
"Yeah, I got it. Is that money coming out of my portion from the club?"
I sucked my teeth. "Nigga, leave and go have fun. Meet me back in my office by three in the morning and yo little ass bet not be late."
Daniel nodded his head before walking away from me and I walked over to the bar to meet up with Mya. We've been going strong these past five months, and I can honestly say I'm the happiest I've ever been since Princess was born. Mya makes me happy and waking up to her and Princess every morning just puts me in a good mood for the rest of my day. By the time I approached Mya, she was standing at the with her back to me, so I walked up behind her and covered her eyes.
"Guess who?"
I could feel her smiling beneath me. "Prince and you're late," she informed me of what I already knew. I sat down in one of the bar stools since I was supposed to be meeting somebody else here tonight. Mya stood up next to me. "I've been waiting here for fifteen minutes."
"I had some business to take care of. It won't happen again. What's up though? Why'd you need to see me over here?"
Even though we've been together for about five months now, we didn't let that get in the way of our professional relationship. We keep our relationship private so people at the club don't know we're together. Once people get wind of Mya sleeping with the boss, there's no telling what kind of rumors they'll start to spread. Mainly, I don't want everybody in our business at the club or outside of my house. It's nobody's business what we're doing except for Mya and I, so we keep our relationship a secret.
"It's Banga."
I frowned. "What happened now?"
Banga's been in and out of consciousness for the past few months and I wish his family would just pull the plug on his ass. He'll gain consciousness for a couple hours before he goes back unconscious for several days. For the past month, he's been going through the same pattern and I figured his family would just pull the plug on him and take all of us out of our misery.
"I heard he's been awake for almost 12 hours now," she mumbled. "What if he comes looking for me Prince? He's going to kill me."
I sighed. "He can't do shit if he's been unconscious for the past few months. Before he even thinks about getting up out of his hospital bed, he's gonna have to go through rehabilitation to regain everything he lost when he fell out of the window. And there's not telling if he'll even be able to remember anything either."
"But what if he does remember? And it doesn't matter if he can't get out of the bed, he has friends that'll do his dirty work for him. Prince, he's going to hurt me. He's going to know I pushed him out of the window."
"How? If you said it was dark and you sneaked him, how would he even know it's you?"
"Because I'm the only person that has a key to the apartment. I'm the only person that would've been there."
"How would he know that? Anybody could've broken in. Shit. It could've been Beauty since she was with him."
Mya's eyes widened. "Are we blaming this on her?"
"No, I'm just giving you some different options to think about that could be going through his head. If he hit his head on the concrete when you pushed him out of the window, he won't remember Mya. He won't remember anything close to hitting his head. He'll forget about it all," I replied. "Just relax and don't worry about Banga. I'll handle it. Didn't I have one of my guys protect you when Banga and his friends popped up outside of your house?"
"Yes."
"So trust and believe that I'll protect you again, especially now that you're living with me and my family. I got you Mya."
She took a deep breath. "Alright, alright. I know you do. I'm just afraid. I don't want anybody to get hurt. M-Maybe I should get a knife or something to protect myself or a gun."
"You should," I agreed with her. "In the event that Banga does try to sneak you, because it might happen, then you need to be prepared for whatever happens. Get a knife to protect yourself."
"Okay, I will."
"And go back to work, have fun. Banga and his crew can't get into my club so they can't hurt you here. I promise you're safe."
"Alright, I trust you Prince," she said as she walked behind the bar. "You want something to drink?"
"What can you even make?"
Mya slightly smiled and I could tell she was trying to smile through her pain. I knew she was worried about Banga now that he's awake, but I could also tell she was trying to push her worries away. "Don't worry about what I can make. Just trust me," she mocked me, making me smile. She turned her back on me as she walked over to the different bottles sitting behind the bar. I saw her pick up a bottle of Hennessy before pouring it into a glass. She poured something else in the glass before handing it to me. "Tell me how it is."
I grabbed the glass and looked at the dark brown liquid inside before I looked back up at Mya. "You ain't tryna poison me, are you?"
"Of course not. Come on and drink it. You're costing me money boy."
"Yeah, whatever little girl." I grabbed the glass and took a sip of the liquid inside and I've tasted it before. I took the rest of the drink to the head before sliding the glass over to Mya. "Coke and Henny? I thought you were gonna make something new."
"I told you I could make something, not that I'm a bartender," she laughed as she walked around the bar. "When should I get back to work or can I stay here and fondle the boss a few more minutes?"
I was just about to respond when I heard somebody calling my name.
"Theodore! Theodore!"
I sucked my teeth. Damn. I knew that annoying voice. It was Nicole. I turned and looked back at the person I haven't seen in about six months, followed by her dirty, prostituting cousin. I can't stand the two of them and I've been doing everything in my power to keep me and Princess away from them, but it's like they're stalking me or something. They just keep popping up where ever I went.
Nicole walked up to me and mushed me in the head. "I haven't seen you in half a year. Where the hell you been stupid?"
Tee Tee stepped around Nicole, corning me in so I couldn't move. The both of them were standing on each side of me. "Why are you hiding?"
I frowned. "I'm not hiding and I'd like it if the two of y'all hoes kept y'all's hands off of me."
Tee Tee mushed my head. "Or what? You ain't gonna do shit and if you do, we're gonna call the police on you and get this whole place shut down. And you'll be locked up for putting your hands on us and prostituting these bitches up here. Test us," she said as she pushed me again.
I desperately wanted to back hand Tee Tee and Nicole but I knew how the two of them worked. They purposely get me worked up just so I can do some unquestionable shit and then they'll call the police on me and get Princess taken away from me. I can't run the risk of losing Princess to the state or to Nicole and Tee Tee, so I just gotta keep my mouth shut around them and my hands to myself. It's the only way I'll be able to keep my baby girl safe and away from them.
"Where the hell is my daughter at? I know you ain't got her bad ass up in this club with these bitches!"
I could see Nicole's hand in the corner of my eye swinging down to hit me again but Mya grabbed her hand and pushed her away.
"Stop putting your hands on him! Clearly he's not fighting back, so stop putting your hands on him. You're gonna drive him to put his hands on you then you're gonna try to call the police. Stop tormenting him," Mya defended me since I couldn't defend myself against these crazy bitches.
"And who are you bitch?" Tee Tee asked, walking around me to get to Mya but I put my arm out stopping her.
"Hey! Chill! She's my fuckin' employee and she's right."
"And you're fucking her."
"And if I am, why is it any of your business? I haven't touched your slimey ass since we made Princess years ago. Leave me alone Nicole and go home! I don't want shit to do with you or your trifling ass cousin!"
"No, I'm not gonna leave you alone! Where the hell is my baby at?"
I scoffed. "You don't even care about her. You haven't called me in six months to see your daughter and I don't even want you in her life. I hope she forgot about your dusty ass."
"Yeah, she probably forgot about her because you bought some new bitch around my niece," Tee Tee added. "Now, where's Princess at and she bet not be with some bitch! Where the fuck is Goldie!?"
I scrunched up my face. "Who is Goldie?" I asked playing stupid. How the hell did they even find out about me and Goldie? Nobody knows about us since we've been keeping things on the low. See, this is what I mean! They're stalking me.
Nicole smacked me across my face. "You know who the fuck Goldie is! Where is this bitch at!?"
"I don't know," I growled.
"Hey! I said to get your fuckin' hands off of him!" Mya yelled as she walked around the bar and got up in Nicole and Tee Tee's face. She was out numbered but it didn't seem like she cared. All she was concerned about was my well being since I couldn't put my hands on them. "The two of y'all need to get out of here!"
"Or what? What the fuck you gon' do bitch?" Tee Tee smirked.
"This ugly bitch ain't gonna do shit. You're trash bitch," Nicole laughed as she spit in Mya's direction. Mya tried to jump on Nicole but it was no use since Tee Tee was ready to protect Nicole. Tee Tee and Nicole both tag teamed Mya as if she was able to go up against two hood boogers alone. Mya was hitting them but she was no use since it was two against one and it wasn't fair.
I jumped up out of my seat and tried to stand in between them to break them up but it's like Tee Tee and Nicole were bent on taking their anger out on someone today, and Mya just so happened to get in their way. I couldn't break them up and one of my bouncers was having a hard time doing so too.
"Fuck this!" I heard somebody yell before people started dispersing from the crowd and screaming.
I couldn't even take note of what was going on before I heard several shots from a gun and a piercing pain in my back and chest. I fell to the ground and looked around at the people on the ground with me. Mya was on the ground bleeding and my bouncer was too. I looked up at Nicole and Tee Tee, who looked disgruntled from the fight, but Tee Tee was holding a gun in her hands.
"Yeah, I guess you thought we were playing," she smiled as she walked up to me. "We didn't come here to joke with you Theodore. Where the hell is Princess at?"
"Fuck you," I spat.
"Fine. We're gonna find her with or without you bastard."
Just as Tee Tee pointed the gun in my direction, more shots rang out in the club but this time, Tee Tee was hit. She fell to the ground covered in blood with several bullet holes piercing her body, or at least that's what I thought. My vision was going in and out to the point where I couldn't see straight anymore. I saw double, then triple and then eventually, I didn't see anything but darkness.
