Theodore III
"Ohhhh shit!" Milan yelled as I smacked her ass.
Like always, I was trying to get this nut out quick before I head over to the station and before Milan needed to go back to work. She was on her lunch break, and like almost every day of the week, we always find ourselves crunched for time when we're trying to spend time together. She only has an hour for lunch, she has to build in time to get to where ever we're meeting and back to work so we never really have that much time for each other. Because after she's off of work, I have Princess and my Dad my be home. So I always value this hour we have since it's the only time I get to see her.
Milan's manicured hands tightly gripped the sheets as I pounded into her, causing her moans to get louder and louder the faster I went. Right now, I was sweating bullets but I was determined to get this over with quickly. "Shit," she groaned as her breathing became uneasy and she came all over me. Milan's hands soon released the sheets and her body relaxed but she turned over so she was on her back and so I could see her gorgeous face.
"Lay down. I wanna ride you."
She didn't have to tell me twice. I bent down and picked her up, never taking my dick out of her, before I laid back on the hotel bed and let her take control of me. I kept my hands tight around her hips as she bounced up and down on me, wanting me to feel the same pleasure she just had and she did. With every bounce and twirl of her hips, she worked me until I came all inside of the condom.
Milan climbed off of me, taking the condom and putting it in the trashcan as I sat up in bed. "You know, we gon' have to spend some time together soon," I told her as I zipped up my pants, making her smile.
She stepped into her all black Givenchy dress with a huge smile on her face. "I know we are. You're gonna have to catch me up on what made you decide to bring Goldie to the family dinner last night," she laughed. "Was is your Mom again? She must have finally got to you."
I sighed. "Yeah. I didn't know who else to bring so I just bought Goldie."
"She's a good liar."
"And so are you," I smirked, pulling her towards me. Milan stood in front of me holding my hands. "Thanks for not letting Goldie get to you last night. I know--"
"It's completely fine. We're not together so it shouldn't matter and it's not like you could've bought me to dinner as your girlfriend and as your Step Mother. It would be kind of weird so I can't be mad about it. I just have to accept it and move on."
I nodded my head. "Right so can I ask you something?"
"Yeah, what's up?"
My little talk with King has been heavy on my mind, especially what he said about Milan never leaving my Dad. I do want them to divorce but I know it'll just cause an even bigger rift in my family. But King mad a valid point when he said that if Milan truly loves me, it wouldn't be an issue to divorce my Dad. There wouldn't be any love between her and my Dad, but clearly there is since they've been together just as long as we've been sleeping together.
"How long you think we gon' be able to keep this up?" I asked.
She scrunched up her face. "What do you mean? Our relationship?"
"Yeah, like, do you really think we can keep this up much longer? I mean, I hate sneaking around with you all the time and trying to find you in other women when I know you're what I really want. And I can't take you being all lovely dovey with my Dad like I don't want that to be me. I guess I'm really just tryna figure out how long we gon' continue fucking each other before we make anymore moves."
Milan took a deep breath. "Honestly, I don't even know. I've just been trying to take things as they come because we don't ever know what's truly going to become of our relationship. But what we have going on is special and I would never want to replace it for the world Theodore, even if we are just sneaking to be with each other. That's real love to me and it shows we're dedicated to each other."
"So what'chu saying is, you plan on fucking me forever?"
"No," she sighed. "I jus--I don't know. I really want you."
"So just be with me."
"How? I'm married to your Father. He'd never let me leave him, especially just to be with his son. Everybody in your family would hate me and your Mother would kick my ass for cheating on Teddy and for sleeping with you. I used to think the two of us could be together in the past but I don't even know anymore."
I scrunched up my face. "But like you told me, love always prevails. If we love each other, everybody else's opinions shouldn't matter. And the opinion of a nigga you're divorcing really shouldn't matter. Milan, I love you."
She took a deep breath as she tightened her grip on my hands. "I know you do and I love you too, a lot but you need to be realistic. I'd do anything I could to divorce your Father and be with you but the world isn't perfect and I'd never be able to do that without receiving tons of backlash from your family. And you know they wouldn't want anything to do with you if you decided to be with me or if they found out we've been sleeping together longer than your Dad and I have been married."
"So, what? We just gon' leave it like this and continue fucking until you're done with me and ready for the next nigga? How you gon' do me like this Milan? I'm not gonna be fucking a married woman for the rest of my life. I'm pretty much faithful to a married woman who's still fucking her husband."
"What do you expect me to do? I can't just not sleep with your Dad when he finally decides to come home. He'll think something's up if I'm not up for sex after weeks of him not being here. He'll catch on to us so I have to sleep with him in order to save my marriage."
"Why save a marriage that's crumbling?
"Because as bad as it sounds, I still love your Father."
I scrunched up my face. King was right this entire time. "So you don't love me enough to leave him?"
"Theodore, I just, I don--"
"Don't even say it because I already know the truth. Clearly you don't love me enough to leave him but I don't deserve this shit. I'm leaving Milan."
"Theodore, just let me explain."
"There's no need. You already said what you needed to say to me. Bye Milan."
I pushed her hands off of me and stormed out of the hotel room we were in. King was right. No married woman is going to leave her husband for his 23 year old son. I just don't know what women see in my Dad. He's a player, he manipulates women, he already has a crazy ex wife and he has a bunch of kids that he hardly ever talks to. With me, I don't manipulate women to get what I want, I've never been married, I'm only seeing one female at a time, I only got one kid and I'm established in the club industry. What more could a woman want? What does my Dad have that I don't have? But most importantly, what attracts Milan so much to my Dad that's got her pushing me away?
I made the quick drive over to the station without Tone driving me. I just needed some time to clear my mind but I couldn't. I just don't understand Milan and the shit she's pulling with my Dad and I. If I didn't know any better, I'd say it was her plan all along to play the both of us and she's been successfully doing it until King dropped some knowledge on me. Now he's got me questioning her motives.
"Riding alone, huh?" Donny asked as I climbed out of my all black Maserati GranTurismo, slamming my door shut.
"I need a fuckin' drink."
I could hear Donny laughing behind me as I swiftly walked through the warehouse, ignoring everybody trying to talk to me. I really wasn't in the mood to talk right now because I knew it wouldn't help. Staying to myself wasn't helping so the next best thing to do would be to get a drink. After all I've dealt with the past few weeks, I need a drink. I need something to relieve my stress for the moment. I plopped down at my desk and Donny walked in shortly with half empty bottle of Grey Goose.
"What's up lil' 'cuz? More female problems?" he asked as he pushed the bottle towards me.
I grabbed the bottle out of his hand and took a swig of it, letting the drink burn my throat. "I'm so done with these broads, man."
He smirked. "I told you not to settle down, especially since you so young. You better off fucking who ever you want 'cause when you do that, there's no feelings attached and you can't get hurt in the process. You should have a new bitch for every day of the week like I used to or keep a couple of broads. A few who gon' give you some bomb ass head and a few that got good pussy. You know you can't find both in a good woman so you might as well find you a few to make the perfect woman."
I shook my head. "No offense my nigga but I ain't with my s*men all over the damn city."
"And that's why you strap up. You ever heard of condoms?"
"Yeah, I just like to stick to one girl. I already got enough shit to handle as it is but figuring out which hoe to fuck for certain reasons is just too much work for me. I'd rather find myself a girl that's not tryna play me."
"Milan's playing you?"
I sighed. I told Donny about Milan sleeping together a couple of years ago. He knows good enough not to run his mouth about Milan, so we barely talk about it. But sometimes, I just gotta talk to somebody I can be one hundred percent honest with and that's Donny.
"Yeah. I asked her if she was serious about us, just out of curiosity. I just wanted to see what she'd say to see if I'm wasting my time or not. And in few words, she basically said she ain't leaving my Pops but the two of us can continue fucking as long as it's under her conditions. I mean, I knew what I was getting myself into when I first started dealing with her but I wasn't expecting myself to catch feelings like a bitch."
"What'chu expect? You been sleeping with her for five damn years, taking her out and all that shit. I knew you were gonna catch feelings because you just hooked on that girl. You're just happy an older woman is showing you attention and loving you the way your Mama didn't. Why else do you think you've been lusting after all these older broads? You just looking for some attention from an older female. You're the type of nigga that likes a female to take care of you. You know, like cleaning up after you, cooking for you, running your bath water and all that shit. That's the shit your Mama's supposed to be doing, not your girl."
"I know," I sighed.
"But you knew in the back of your mind Milan wasn't leaving your Pops and she validated it. I wouldn't harp on the shit if I was you. I'd break it off with her, never speak of the shit again and move on to a chick that's your age or younger. I wouldn't suggest getting any older females."
"Maybe I should," I contemplated. I know Milan wouldn't snitch to my Dad because she'd be ratting herself out in the process. My only concern with that is that I love Milan. Even if she is like a Mother figure to me, nobody seems to realize that I still have love for her. If it was just lust, I wouldn't be putting up this big of a fight for her. It's more than lust. It's always been more than lust.
"So in hopes of you moving on, how about we go out tonight? Me, you and the crew. We can pop bottles, smoke a bit and relax and hopefully find some girls. What'chu say to that?"
"I don't know," I mumbled. "I gotta head over to the club tonight."
"A'ight then we'll just chill there. With free bottle service, of course?" he laughed, making me shake my head.
"If you plan on bringing the whole crew, all y'all niggas paying." Me and Donny's laughter filled the room but we soon stopped once somebody started knocking on my door. "Who is it?"
"Cashmere!" he yelled from the other side of the door.
I sucked my teeth. "Give us a minute, D."
"Damn. I don't want no parts of what's about to go down. I'll see you tonight at the club."
"A'ight."
Donny gave me some dap before he exited my office and Cashmere entered. He reached out to give me dap but I quickly pulled my hand away. He had three huge blisters on the side of his hand. "Damn. What happened to you Cash?"
He chuckled as he plopped down in the seat in front of me. "Your sister threw hot grease on me."
My eyes widened. "What the fuck happened?"
"You know, we ain't been getting along lately. I don't know if she did this intentionally but I was still sleep when she took Daniel to school. So she left and came back and I was still laying in bed asleep since she kept me up arguing with me all last night. I don't know what she was cooking or what she was doing but she just threw the grease all over my hand and burned my shit up. She said she was aiming for my dick but I put my hand in the way instead."
"Damn. You good? Did you see a doctor or something."
"Yeah, that's why I was late coming over here," he chuckled. "Luckily the grease wasn't hot enough to burn my hand too bad. It just kind of singed me, you know?"
I shook my head. "What the fuck are y'all doing Cash? I know Lindsey can get on anybody's nerves with her nagging but what did you do to make her throw hot grease on you? I mean, she wouldn't do anything like that unless she's really pissed off."
"You know how the two of us get sometimes."
"Yeah, sometimes, but this has been going on for months. Y'all constantly going at each other and for what? Y'all really want Daniel to see that?"
"Nah," he shook his head. "Your sister just pushes me to do some shit I'm not proud of."
"Like what?" I folded my arms, waiting on him to validate his bullshit excuse.
"I might have fucked around on her in the past but that was months ago and she's still hung up about it. I don't know what else I gotta do for her but I've apologize, I started staying the night with her. I'm really tryna prove myself to your sister that I'm not cheating on her again."
I scrunched up my face as I looked out at him with a disgusted look on my face. I should've known a nigga like him wasn't looking to settle down. He knew the intentions Lindsey had for their relationship when they first met, so I don't know why he's still messing around on her after five years. If he's as serious about her as he claims then he needs to show that in his actions instead of doing the opposite of what he's saying.
"Are you serious about my sister?"
"Yeah," he nodded his head.
"Nah, like on some real shit. 'Cause if all you wanna do is fuck around on her then you need to leave her alone. She has a kid she's trying to raise, help me raise mine and still try to find happiness in her life. You of all people should know the shit she's been through in the past but you still treating her like shit. But why? Lindsey's good to you."
"I know she is."
"So why are you cheating on her?"
"I don't know. I was just being stupid."
"No, you are stupid," I corrected him.
He smirked. "I could be but I'm trying to change man, I really am. I haven't cheated on her since a couple months ago. I've been faithful to her and I want to get married to her but she keeps turning me down."
"Well, you really can't blame her since you've been cheating on her."
"I know, I know but you gotta tell her that I'm a changed man."
"I can't lie to my sister about some shit I can't even see myself. And the way I see it, you deserved to get that grease thrown on you but it should've been hotter. She should've burned your dick off because now you gotta deal with me. The next time you decide to disrespect or step out on my sister, I'll know and I'll handle you by my damn self. I don't care if you're twice the size of me, I'll take any nigga standing in my way and that's a fact. And let's just keep this conversation between the two of us. I'd hate for Lindsey to find out I'm the reason you came up dead."
"Dead? Come on Prince, you've known me for years and I saved your life. You wouldn't kill me."
"Oh, I would kill you regardless of what you've done for me int he past. The past doesn't matter when you're cheating. I don't like niggas disrespecting my family, especially my sister. So with that being said, get the fuck out of my office and don't let me hear about you cheating on her again, and trust me, I'll find out next time on my own."
He sighed as he stood up. "Alright Prince. I'm serious though. I'm not cheating on her anymore," he said as he exited my office.
I shook my head once I was left alone in my office. Now I'm going to have to add him to the list of people to keep my eye on. Cash is cool and has always been good in my eyes but now that I've seen a different side of him, I really don't want shit to do with him. And now I have to watch my back for him too. I used to think he was loyal but if he could cheat on my sister then I'm sure he can be unloyal to me too. I grabbed the bottle of Grey Goose and downed the remainder that was in the bottle. All of these people and their twisted up notions about life have me stressed out.
Aubrey
A month after I was released, I found myself back home with my mama and sister like nothing even happened to me. Sure, I had to meet with my P.O. every week but it was no deal to me. I just show up to my meetings with my P.O. like I'm supposed to, I make sure they don't know I'm drinking and smoking and since I've been doing good, I put in a request to move out of the state. All I'm waiting on is the approval to leave California.
I scrunched up my face as I walked Kennedy walk past me in a small pair of shorts and a crop top. Damn. Bitches were wearing these before I went to prison, and even now that I'm out, they're still wearing them. I thought these would've went out of still but apparently not.
"What the fuck is you wearing little girl?"
Kennedy snapped around, causing her large hoop earrings to smack the side of her face. "Clothes."
"Not enough clothes. Where's the bottom of your shirt or the legs on your shorts? If you bend over, your ass is gonna be hanging out."
She rolled her eyes as she crossed her arms. "It's called a crop top and my butt won't be hanging out. Maybe you shouldn't be looking."
"Maybe you shouldn't be parading around here like some kind of hoe. I heard about the shit you been doing with these grown ass boys. You still a virgin?" I asked her.
"Yes," she groaned. "Why do y'all keep asking me that?"
"Because the way you been acting isn't helping you out."
"Well, for your information, I am. I've never done anything sexual with anybody before and I've never even thought about it. Sure, guys wanna do stuff with me but it's not like I let them. I'm not a hoe and I'd appreciate it if you didn't call me one especially when you don't even know what you're talking about. You haven't been here in five ad a half years because before you went to prison, you weren't around. Don't come back here acting like you're running stuff because I don't have to listen to you. You're not my Daddy."
"Well you're Dad's a dead beat so somebody's gonna step in and say something."
"And you must have inherited some of Daddy's traits because you're a dead beat brother and son. I don't need anybody else telling me what to do because unlike you, I'm not going to prison when I'm 18. Mama's teaching me right from wrong."
I smirked. Damn, Kennedy never talked to me like this before I got locked up. "So she taught you it was all right to walk around dressed like this and disrespecting your brother? It's nothing but love here Kennedy, it's always been. You know I fuck with you the long way."
"It doesn't seem like it anymore," she sighed. "You've been home for a month and you haven't spent any time with me. All you do is sit around all day watching TV."
"What am I supposed to do? I just got out of prison, nobody will hire me and I'm broke."
"If it's money you need then I know where to get some from."
I raised an eyebrow. "Where?"
"Follow me."
I stood up from the couch and reluctantly followed my 13 year old sister upstairs to our Mama's room. Luckily Mama wasn't home, so the two of us walked inside of her room and Kennedy walked straight up to her top dresser draw.
"You know Mama's gonna kill us if she catches us in here, right?" I asked as I leaned against the door frame.
"She's not here so she won't catch us."
Kennedy pulled the top draw open and pushed some of Mama's clothes aside before pulling out an envelope that was stuffed with money.
I scrunched up my face. "Where the hell did all that money come from?"
Kennedy shrugged her shoulders. "I don't know. Some guy comes by with some money and drops it off to Mama a few times a year. She told me not to question her about it so I don't but this is emergency money and it's only supposed to be used for emergencies only," she said as she pulled five one hundred dollars bills out of the stack of money and handed it to me. "Is your situation an emergency?"
"Hell yeah." Once the judge approves my appeal to leave the state, I can take some of this money and catch a bus over to Atlanta.
"Well since it's for an emergency then I guess I can give it to you but don't tell Mama. She'll kill us."
I took the money from Kennedy and stuffed it into my pants pocket. "Thanks Ken. You know I wouldn't be taking this money if I really didn't need it."
"I know you need it. What are you doing with it?" she asked as she placed everything in Mama's draw back how it was before we walked back downstairs.
"I'm leaving."
She scrunched up her face. "Why? You just got back."
"I know but I got some business to handle."
She sighed. "Please don't tell me you're starting that stuff again with Theodore and Jazmine. I don't even know why you're upset with them but they're not bad people."
"And how would you know?"
"Because they still talk to me."
My eyes widened. "Oh, really?" After all of these years, I didn't expect them to still keep in contact with Kennedy.
She nodded her head. "Yeah. Jazmine and I talk all the time about girl stuff and Theodore and I used to talk a lot but then he came over about a month ago. He still looks the same, just a little bit older and he has a whole bunch of tattoo's now and facial hair. He keeps his beard kind of roughly shaven and it's grown out a little bit. And it looks like he's been living good down in Atlanta. He looks happy but it must be his daughter. Oh! She's so much older now and she's adorable."
"You're seen her before?"
"Yeah, in the past but I've only seen pictures of her recently. She looks just like him, only her skin is a little bit darker. She has Lindsey's eyes too."
I slightly smiled at the sound of Lindsey. "Really? What's she been up to?"
Kennedy shrugged her shoulders. "I don't really know. All I know it that she's down in Atlanta with Theodore, Jazmine and Daniel."
"Damn. Daniel's 13 now, too, huh?"
"Yeah."
"Y'all still friends?"
"Yeah, that's my best friend. We don't see each other much, only when he's in town, which isn't often."
"Which is a good thing. You don't need to be talking to guys no ways," I told her. "But back to everybody. What's Jaz up to?" Even though I still think Jaz and Theodore have something going on, I thought about her almost every day I was locked up. Before Jaz and I officially broke up, we were in a good space and she always knew just what to say to make me feel good.
"Jaz is still in school. She's in Law School down in Atlanta. She looks sort of the same but she's a lot prettier now than she was before. She's been wearing her hair curly and she got thick, like she has a nice body."
I smiled. "Damn. She got a man?"
"No. She said she's just focused on finishing school and then she'll worry about relationships, well at least that's what she told me. I think if you go down there and see her, she'll want to get back with you. I know it'll take some time for things to go back to how they used to be but I just want you and Jaz to be together again. I liked it when you guys were together and when Theodore had a girlfriend and you guys would all come over here and just chill. I miss that."
I slightly sighed. I know things went sour really quickly with Jaz, Theodore and I but I feel like it's too late now to try to fix things. We've been through too much and said too much harsh shit to each other for anything to be the same again because I'd give anything in the world to be able to hang out with my friends again.
"Maybe things will go back to normal somebody but I can't guarantee that Ken. The three of us just kind of grew up and grew apart but it's all love between the three of us. I'mma be heading down to Atlanta soon and maybe we can all rekindle our friendship. You'd think they'd want to do that?"
"Hopefully," she smiled.
Lindsey
I kicked Cashmere's shoes away from the door since he just left them laying here. With him staying here with Daniel and I, it gives me a sense of stability in our relationship. Our relationship has been lacking stability, trust, and everything else. We haven't been able to open up to each other in months because we're so disconnected. But even after a month, we're still working on things and while nothing can change over night, he surely has improved. At least he comes home every night and is texting me throughout the day where he's at and what he's doing, but I guess that's partially because of Theodore. I don't know what he said to them but after their conversation, Cash straightened up. He hasn't done a full 180 but in time he'll completely change.
I pulled the door open and before I could even get two words out, Donny rushed in rubbing his stomach. "Man, I know you got something to eat in here Lindsey. I've been starving all day," he said as he walked back to my kitchen and I followed him. "You got some left over or something?"
"Well, hello to you too."
He pulled the fridge open and scanned it for food. "Aye, what's up ma? Where the food at? Cashmere ain't keeping no food over here for me to eat."
I smirked. "I'm sure you passed some places to get some food Donny."
"Yeah but it's free here. And free food is always the best food," he replied as he pulled out a corned beef sandwich Cashmere didn't finish eating last night at dinner.
"Donny, that's Cashmere's food."
Donny shrugged his shoulders. "So? I'm paying the nigga anyways so technically he bought this sandwich with my money which technically means I bought it which technically means I can eat it."
"And that technically means you're a dumb ass. He's gonna be pissed."
He shrugged his shoulders again. "Oh well, he just gon' be pissed. You ready to do my hair or you gon' make me wait? 'Cause I got a hot date tonight and I gotta pick up my new fit when I leave here," he smiled but I just rolled my eyes.
"Yeah, we can go up to the front." Once we got up to the front, I sat on the couch and Donny sat on the floor below me before I sectioned off his hair to braid it. "So who's your hot date tonight and why are you getting all dressed up for some random girl? Because you never take a girl out on a date."
He smacked his lips. "I know but this chick was persistent with me. I've been kicking it with her for awhile now and all we do is smash and wanted to take things a step further."
"Oh," I smirked. "So she basically said she's not gonna let you hit anymore until you made some shit official?"
"Basically," he laughed.
"And you're all right with that? I never would've pictured you settling down, especially with your track record. I'm surprised."
"All dogs gotta find a home, Linds. I've chased after bitches for too long and for what? They all gon' give me the same thing and nine times out of ten, none of it compares to my shortie."
"So you're settling down?"
"Maybe."
I smiled. "Damn. Who's the girl then?"
"Oh, you know her ma," he smiled.
"Who?"
"Prince's home girl, Jazmine. You know, my lil' chocolate goddess," he chuckled.
I rolled my eyes. "Oh, that bitch? You're better off finding somebody new to fuck because that bitch is just gonna cause trouble for you. She's never gonna wanna settle down because she's in love with Prince. Don't waste your time."
He smirked. "Somebody sounds jealous."
"Never jealous of her. I'm just warning you to be careful with her."
"I'm careful of everybody I'm around. Even you."
I finished off his first cornrow and leaned his head back so he could see me. "Even me?"
"Yeah, even you. I gotta watch my back all the time."
"I've been real with you since the day I met you though."
"I know but niggas switch up quick as hell these so I always gotta be prepared for the worst. I know you won't do nothing to me, 'cause you got my back big 'cuz, right?"
I smirked. "Always."
"So that means you gon' cook me and my date dinner tonight then?"
"Hell no! That bitch works at iHop, tell her to bring you back some pancakes, sausage and eggs."
He chuckled. "Nah, I think I'mma slide through here tonight with you and Cash. We could make it like a double date."
"Don't bring that bitch to my house."
He kept that same grin on his face as he popped my thigh. "Aye, I know y'all ain't cool with each other but chill with the name calling. I don't want you disrespecting her while I'm around. Disrespect her all you want when I'm not around but don't say shit about her. You understand me?"
I scoffed as I continued to braid his hair. So now he's sticking up for this broad? Just last week, before he decided to get serious with her, he was sitting up here with me drinking and bad mouthing her because of something she did to him. So now, seven days later, he's defending the same girl that slept with my man and has been trying to sleep with Theodore for the past five years. Maybe Adonis is just as crazy as she is.
~~~
That same night, I sat in the club with Danity and Milan like we usually do.
"So I know y'all boring bitches been up to the same boring shit. Am I right?" Danity asked as she sipped on her glass of Dom Perignon Champagne, courtesy of Cashmere.
I cut my eyes at her, playfully. "I see you're still a gossiping bitch. Am I right?"
"Completely right," she laughed. "So, I figure you and Cash are in a good space for him to be buying you bottles every time you step into the club and since you've been extremely happy. Or you been getting some of that long dick from Adonis."
I rolled my eyes. "You fucking him?"
"No, I've just heard about him. Is it true?"
"I wouldn't know," I shook my head. "But Cash and I are getting better. He's trying to do better."
Danity smirked. "Well I'm very surprised."
"You know, you always got something to say about him. If I didn't know any better, I would've thought you wanted him," I laughed, making her smile. I don't even think she realized what I'd just said to her since she was drinking so much tonight. While I was just joking, part of me wondered if she had a thing for Cash since she was always bringing up how he ain't shit and his infidelities.
"Cashmere is not my type."
I squinted my eyes at her. "Then what's your type?"
"Any other nigga but Cashmere," she laughed, downing the rest of her drink.
Yeah, this bitch was drunk and incoherent.
I looked to my side at Milan as she answered her ringing phone. I don't know what's wrong with her but she's been really quiet the past few weeks. She hardly comes to Sunday dinner anymore, and when she does, she doesn't say much. She just sits alone most times but I'm surprised she came out to the club with us tonight. Here lately, she's been consistently turning us down because she claimed she was busy. I can only assume she and my Father are going through it right now.
"Hey baby," she smiled but her smile quickly faded. "O-Oh, I was out at the club with Lindsey. I only stepped out for an hour or so but I plann--" She immediately stopped talking. She sighed. "Yes, dinner is already ready. Isabella fixed dinner for you and it should be on the stove. If you don't see her, ask her about it...but Teddy, I'm at the club...I know I'm almost 30 years old and shouldn't be out here all the time but that doesn't mean I can--Hello? Hello?"
Milan stood up, exposing the tattoo she had on her hip. She began grabbing her purse in the process but I looked behind her at Danity. Danity and I both wore the same confused expression, especially since she had my Dad's name written across her hip as if he would actually mark his body up for her. I love Milan like a sister but I don't think my Dad actually loves her. He's still in love with Mama because even in he and Mamas worst days, he still treated Mama better than how he's treated Milan in the five years they've been together. I just can't believe she'd go out and get him tattooed on herself, especially since they can't ever seem to get along.
"You guys, I'm sorry I have to cut the night short but my husband wants me home at a decent hour tonight. I'll talk to you guys later."
And just like that, Milan was gone and out of the club but Danity soon moved closer to me. "I know you saw that shit on her hip. Who's she fooling getting Mr. Reed's name tatted on her?"
I slightly shrugged my shoulders. "I don't know."
"That's my girl but she's been seeming hella desperate to keep that relationship going lately. You don't think he's cheating on her, do you?"
Yet again, I shrugged my shoulders, even though I knew he probably was. My Dad is notorious for never keeping one woman so I didn't doubt that he was cheating on her well before they even got married. I just didn't want Danity knowing all of my family's business, even though it was pretty obvious. "I don't know. My Dad's a really affectionate man, and if his wife isn't home every night to care for him, then he might stray."
"She's too young for him. She's still young so she's gonna wanna stay out at night but he's an old man. He wants to stay home at night. She's gonna have to make sacrifices, meaning get with a man that's her age or give up the man she's got because they're at two completely different points in their lives."
I nodded my head. "Right but she knew what she was getting herself into when she got involved with him. My Dad was old when she met him and five years later, he's even older. I fault her for going after an old man and it's not like my Dad forced her to marry him. She knew the type of man he was before they got married."
"Man, you right on that one Linds. If I was her, I'd stay with your Dad for the money but how much you wanna bet she's got herself a side piece?"
The thought has crossed my mind before since my Dad is barely around. She's not even an entire year younger than me, and at her age, I couldn't imagine myself being married to an old man. He's home with her maybe one week out of an entire month, and all he does is give her money. I'd be getting lonely and horny being away from my man all day, so I'm pretty sure she has a side piece. I mean, she'd have to have one to keep herself from going crazy but I couldn't bring it up. I'd look like a fool since I don't have any proof or who she could be sleeping with. I'd just have to ride it out until I got some evidence to bring to my Dad.
"I bet she does," I agreed with Danity.
Theodore III
That same night, I found myself at one of my other clubs in Atlanta sitting at the bar. I was drinking and taking shot after shot to my head. Milan had me all kinds of fucked up since we broke things off about a month ago. Since that day I stormed out of the hotel room, I haven't talked to her. I've seen her at Lindsey's during dinner on Sunday's but we don't speak to each other and we don't even look at each other. Milan fucked my young minded ass up with her games and I'm done with it. Like King told me, I have bigger things to worry about than Milan because I can get pussy anywhere.
I reached out to grab the bottle of Louis XIII but somebody placed their hand on top of mine. I was about ready to snap on anybody interrupting me tonight but I decided against it when I saw those long pink finger nails of Goldie's. I looked up at her and she looked down at me with a smile on her face.
"What'chu doing here?" I asked, pulling the bottle towards me so I could take another sip.
She smiled. "Well, since it was my night off, I decided to come to another club. Me and my girls were on the other side of the club when I saw you sitting over here. I recognized that flashy watch of yours from on the other side of the club, so I came over here to speak to you," she replied as she eyed my Presidential Rolex watch that was covered in pure gold and embezzled with diamonds along the face and on the rest of the watch. It was a gift that I gave myself. "What are you doing here?"
"I own the place."
She raised en eyebrow. "Interesting. If I had known you owed this place, I would've went across town to Vanity or do you own that one too?"
"That one too."
She shook her head. "Alright, so those three clubs are off my list of clubs to go to on my night's off," she giggled. "You doing okay though? You look kind of upset."
I shrugged my shoulders. "I've been better. Do I look that upset?"
She slightly chuckled. "Yes. Well for starters, you drank most of the bottle and I see empty shot glasses sitting around you and you had your head down when I came over here. You know, drinking won't solve your problems. It'll just make you feel more depressed but I know the feeling. It feels good to drink and forget about your problems but could I make one suggestion to you?" she asked as she sat down in the seat beside from me.
"What's up?"
"If you're gonna drink like a fish tonight, maybe you should do it on some cheap liquor because the shit you're drinking now is a couple thousand per bottle. It's for special occasions."
I smirked. "This is a special occasion."
"How?"
"Because you're gonna drink some with me."
"Who said I was drinking tonight?" she smiled.
"Me."
She took a deep breath. "Fine. I'll drink a little bit with you tonight."
I waved the bartender over and he handed me two empty. I poured the remainder of the Louis XIII into each of our glasses and slid one over to Goldie. I was just about to drink mine since I was craving more of the dark liquor but she stopped me.
"Wait. Before you drink, let's make a toast."
I smirked. "Alright. To what?"
"Well, since you're not feeling good, it's up to you."
I stared at her for a moment, thinking of something to toast to. I couldn't toast to my break up with Milan, so I toasted to something even better. "To new beginnings."
Goldie smiled as she tapped her glass against mine. "To new beginnings," she repeated before the two of us drank.
New beginnings meant forgetting about my past. Milan was just a bump in the road that I'd have to get over. I know forgetting about my past will be a hard pill to swallow since I spent five years with her but her constant barrage of calls and texts will continue to be ignored along with the tattoo she got of my name. Milan is my past. She needs to accept that and so do I.
