"Tf? Nigga you mean the fuck" I laughed "Why you say tf instead of the whole thing? We ain't texting"

"I ain't wanna curse at you"He pulled me closer to him kissing me making me blush.

"You're so corny" I laughed kissing him back

"Gone somewhere" He pushed me off of him "I ain't corny"

"Yes you are but it's okay you're still cute" I moved closer

I've been at his house all day because I really wasn't trying to be at home and Polo was doing him so I just came over here.

"I know I'm cute" He smirked

"Uh I take my compliment back" I said getting off the bed

"Where you going?" He asked following me

"Getting away from you" I said trying to be serious

"Why? What I do?" He asked making this face that made me bust out laughing

"I'm just playing" I laughed

"Man"He said lifting me up throwing me over his shoulder taking me back to his room throwing me on the bed before getting on too grabbing me wrapping his arms around me. "You ain't going no where" He put his head in the crook of my neck

"I'm not?" I turned a bit so I could face him

"Nope you gonna be mine forever" He kissed my forehead

"You sure about that? I mean we only been dating 7 months

"In 5 months it'll be a year. And besides I've had mad feelings for you since the first day Polo brought you around in the 4th grade. Man he ain't ever want to bring you around" He shook his head "But now I know why. Shit you was fine and them niggas is dogs"

"Why you ain't say none sooner? And you not a dog?" I raised my eyebrow

"Because I thought you and Polo was a thing until I saw you guys both were dating other people. That's when I knew it was safe to shoot my shot"

"Me and Polo" I scrunched my face "Why would you think that?"

"Cause you guys are always together. Spending nights at each other's houses.Doing everything together. The way ya'll look at each other" He said and all I could think is if everyone thinks the same.

Like is there something we're not seeing?

"I never realized that it was like that" I said as I got a text from Mir

"I gotta go" I kissed his lips before getting out of his grip and off the bed

"Where you going? I thought you was staying for dinner?"

"I know but Mir needs me"

"Always him" He said sounded irritating

"What you mean always him?"

"Whenever he calls no matter the time you go running. Don't you think that's disrespectful to me? I'm your nigga Nahla. Not Polo"

"That's my best friend Terrance. What am I suppose to do? Leave him alone when he needs me? You knew this way before we got together. Been like this regardless who we date. If I call him he's coming. Same with me"

"I'm not saying you can't be there for him but damn do you really gotta run when he fucking calls? Acting like that's yo nigga and shit. Be putting me off for him. I come second to him"

"I don't mean to make you come second but what am I suppose to do? It's what I'm used to. It's always been Me and Him. Him and Tez are the only people I had growing up. Then when my parents passed he was there. He's been there for 11 years. I can't just drop him" I told him by now tears falling

My period was about to start so I was emotionally

"Man don't cry" He got up coming closer "I didn't want to upset you. I just want to spend more time with you. I understand that's yo bestfriend but I'm your man. I want you to come to me for everything too"He moved hair from face "I trust you so I'm not even gonna say you doing some foul shit. I just want more time with my girl" He said kissing me

"I understand and I'm sorry.It's just hard to handle my friendship with him and then my relationship with you. But I'll make more time for you" I looked up at him seeing a smile appear on his face

"Good" He laughed a bit

"Can you give me a ride to the studio? Or should I take the train?"

"I'll take you. You ain't taking no train"He said walking to his dresser grabbing his keys

I walked out heading to the living and started taking pictures in this living room mirror

"Having a whole photo shoot without me huh?" He laughed

"Yeah come on let's take one" I told him

He shook his head walking over to me

I took the picture then looked at it to see of I liked it.

"It's cute" I showed him the picture

"Send it to me" He said heading towards the door

I sent it then turned to look at him

"Where you think you going with no shirt on?"

"I ain't gonna go look for no shirt"

"Then I will" I shrugged walking back to his room

I opened his dresser grabbing the first shirt I seen. I closed the dresser then walked back to the living room throwing him the shirt before walking out

He just laughed putting the shirt on before walking out behind me.

We got in the car and he pulled off.

"Can you have dinner with my family Friday?" He asked as he hit the E way

"Yeah but why do you want me to meet your family so bad?" I asked

The whole time since I've known Terrance I met his parents like twice and that was at some school shit. I wasn't big on meeting families because I wasn't good making first impressions. But I also wasn't a fond of bringing any man I'm dating home. Tez only knows Tee because he used to give him rides sometimes. But Dre and my grandparents never met him.

The only boys my family know are Polo,Blast and Wooski. And that's only because my grandma and their grandma are friends.

I also didn't feel right meeting each other's families when we only been dating a couple of months.

"I want you guys to meet and get along. Especially if we trying to make this last" He told me as we pulled up to the studio

"I'll think about It and let you know okay?"

He simply nodded his head. I got out the car texting Mir I was here

I walked towards the door and soon was met with Mir

"About time you get here" He said hugging me before leading me to where he was recording at.

"I know I got caught up with some things"

Walking into the studio room G herbo "Some Otha shit" Blasted through the speakers

"Young nigga 15.Small budget, Big dreams. Wonder will I ever hit that lick that make my wrist bling" He rapped walking in behind me

"You and Herb" I laughed taking a seat on the couch he had in here

"He's the truth"He shrugged sitting down in his chair across from me "So what happened?" He asked

"Tee and I got into it because he says I always put you first and that he's coming in second and shit like that" I told him

"I mean I see why he mad but you my best friend so of course Ima come first"

"But that doesn't mean I have to throw him to the curb. I just have to handle everything accordingly"

"If you say but we both know I'm coming first" He smiled wide making me roll my eyes at how cocky he was "Anyways. I'm writing this song so once I'm done ima read it to you and you tell me what I should change ight?"

"Ight bet" I said "Are the speakers bluetooth?"

"Yeah. Go ahead connect to them"

I connected my phone to the speakers and let songs play in shuffle. Soon Kelly Rowland's voice came through the speakers as "Dilemma" Played

"Okay I see you. Going to them old R&B joints huh" Mir said as he moved to the music

"You slow" I laughed going to scroll through my phone

"No matter what I do. All I think about is you. Even when I'm with my boo. Boy you know I'm crazy over you" I sang along with Kelly as I recorded myself on snapchat.

Saving the video I put my phone down turning my attention to Mir who was so concentrated on writing that he wasn't even paying me any attention.

As I watched him I listened to the song playing in the back ground and I don't know why but for some reason a strange feeling was taking over my body. It was like my mind focused on Mir and Mir only and all our memories. From the moment we met until now.

I was soon snapped out my thoughts when my phone went off letting me know I had Instagram notifications.

Clicking on them I seen Tee tagged me in the picture we took earlier

I exited out the app laughing

"What you laughing at?"

"The comments on Tee's picture" I told him as I got up

I was starving and needed something to eat now!

"Where you going?"

"To get some to eat"

"Come on I'll go with you" He put everything in his bag turning the computers off. "Ight come on" He said walking out

I walked out right behind him.

"Shit I forgot some hold on" He said running back.

"You got the car?" I yelled after him

"Yeah" He said before disappearing

I decided to just wait for him in the car. I opened the door when all of a sudden bullets started flying in my direction

"Nahla" I heard Mir yelled before feeling myself being pulled back

He threw his body on top of mine holding me secured.

After a few more minutes the bullets stopped and it was safe for us to get up again.

"Watch it there's glass everywhere" He got up then helped me up "You good? You ain't get hit right?" He asked turning me around

"No I'm good" I told him as I dusted myself off

My heart was beating so fast that I felt like it was about to jump out of my chest.

"I thought you were grabbing some" I told him

"I was but I don't know why some told to run back to you. And thank god I did" He pulled me into a hug

I felt his heart and it was beating just as fast as mine was. Maybe even faster.

"Come on go back into the room and call Tez. We can't go out right now because they might be waiting for us" He told me and I nodded my head heading back into the room

I pulled my phone out calling Tez

"I was just about to call you. You good?" He asked

"Yeah I'm good but they shot up the studio where Mir and I are at. We were about to walk out when bullets started flying"

"Bro what the fuck. Send me your location I'm on my way. Don't move" He said hanging up

"He's on his way" I Said to Mir who had just walked in

"Ight wait here for him" He grabbed his glock making sure it was loaded

"Where are you going?"

"To look for the niggas who did" He said coldly

"Mir leave it alone for right now. The streets about to be hot. The cops bound to show up here"

"Nahla I love you okay but I need to do this shit. They could've fucking killed you. You think ima let shit fly?"

"But they know you're coming for them Jamir don't you listen? I grew up watching my brothers do this shit. You always lay low after this shit happens"

My brothers always said to never go after niggas right away. Always wait until they think you've let shit slide. And never go alone. Going alone is a dead mission

"Fuck that. You wait here for you brother I gotta go" he kissed my forehead walking out but stopped and turned to me "I love you Nahla. No matter what happens just remember I love you" He said before walking out and heading towards the door

I ran to follow him but he was already out the building

"Fucking Mir" I yelled pulling out my phone. Dialing Blast number

"Wassup Nahla?" He answered

"The studio got shot up and now Mir went to find the dudes who did it alone"

"Wait what? Y'all okay?" He asked

"Yeah we good nothing happened to us but You have to get to him! He's alone trying to kill these niggas"

"Where you at?"

"At the studio but Tez on his way" I told him as I checked to see if he texted me

"Ight stay there and stay safe. Lock the door Incase them niggas lurking around there. I'll go find Polo" he said as Tez walked in

"Tez is here so don't worry about me just find him please" I pleaded

"I got you. You know I won't let no harm come his way if I can prevent"

"Okay love you"

"Love you too" he said as he hung up

"You good?" Tez asked pulling me into a hug before checking if I was okay

"Yeah Im good. Mir pulled me and covered me as soon as they started firing so I didn't get hit"

"Where's Mir?" He asked looking around but not seeing anyone

"He went to get revenge"

"This nigga just stupid" he shook his head "come on man we gotta find him"

He led me out as he made a few calls to his homies so they could keep a look out for Mir.

I tried calling and texting him but he wasn't answering me and I was starting to worry

"This the same shit I didn't want you involved in" Tez said as he hit the steering wheel

"You're really gonna lecturer me right now?" I asked him

"What am I suppose to do Nahla? You could've been killed and then what? Huh then what?" He semi yelled

"You acting like I went out and looked for trouble Tez. I was literally at the studio minding my business. They came to where I was at. I don't even know how they even knew we were there" I told him but he didn't say nothing

"Keep a look out if you see him" he said lowly

Instead of trying to continue the argument I decided to drop and look out the window.

My phone started ringing with a call from Blast

"You find him?" I asked as soon as I answered the phone

"They just booked him for murder"
