Few Months Later

"Now this essay will be due by the end of next week" My English teacher said as he passed out papers "The paper I'm passing out now is a rubric on how the essay will be graded"

"A three page essay on bullshit man fuck this" Leek said as he looked at the paper

He wanted us to write a three page essay on fucking tax on foreign food. Like fuck I care about that shit for.

"Now I know most don't have internet access at home so I will be scheduling time in the computer room so you guys can type your essays out but the research needs to be done at home" He continued

"This some bullshit" Wooski said shaking his head

"Looks like I'll be at the library for the next week" I said looking over the paper

"You really about to do this shit?" Wooski asked

"Hell yeah nigga I'm tryna be a Senior next year fuck you thought this was"

"Shit I'm tryna graduate on time so you know my ass doing" Leek said

He was a Senior while the rest of us were Junior so this year he needed to make sure he stayed on top of everything or he was gonna be in this hell hole another year.

"Shit then ya'll niggas gonna help me with this shit cause I'm lost" He said making us laugh

Soon the bell rang so we grabbed our shit heading out.

We made our way down the hall meeting up with Nahla,Blast and Tee

"Stop fucking touching me" Nahla said pushing Blast

"Stop fucking touching me" Blast laughed mocking her

"You really want smoke? Cause I'll bang yo head into a locker" She mugged him

"Always so damn violent" He said

"I swear ya'll stay fighting" Leek said giving her a hug

"He don't know how to keep his hands to himself" She hugged him back

"Aye Mir" She said coming over to me

I put my arm around her as we walked

"Wassup?" I asked her

"So I heard Jayla likes you" She said

"Word? Where you hear that from?" I asked her as we entered the cafeteria

"She's in my 3rd period talking about you with her home girls" She rolled her eyes

Jayla was this chick I been feeling for a minute but shorty always wanted to act like she wasn't fucking with a nigga.

"But if I go up to her she gonna be on bullshit" I laughed getting in line

"I don't know how you can like her. She's annoying and stuck up but I guess you like them bougie" Nahla said turning away from so I wouldn't see her rolling her eyes

"I told you if you keep rolling them hoes they gonna get stuck" I laughed

"I ain't roll them" She said trying not to roll her eyes

"You some else" I shook my head grabbing my plate

I waited for her to get hers before going to take a seat at the table with everyone else

"So what ya'll doing after school?" Leek asked

"None really" I said

"Come over to the south side with me. Homie scooping me up after school" He said

"Shit I'm down I ain't tryna be home OG tripping G" Wooski said

"If you was my kid I'll be tripping too" Lala laughed

"Fuck you" He said throwing a fry at her

"Aye where's Paris?" Blast asked looking around

"She's on vacation" She pouted

"Damn you ugly" Blast told her making everyone laugh "But I'm down" He shrugged

"Yeah I'm down too" I said looking at Lala

She looked at me and nodded

"I'm down too. My grandparents working late and brothers ain't ever home so"

"Ight meet me in front of the school after school then" He said

The rest of the lunch period we just joked around.

Nahla Reese

It was now after school and I was walking towards my locked to meet up with Mir

"Took you long enough" He said once I reached my locker

"Boy" I pushed him

"Always putting your hands on someone" He joked

"Jamir don't play" I laughed

"I'm just fucking with you" He said

We grabbed our things walking out meeting everyone out front.

Honestly I didn't get a good vibe from this little trip but I knew regardless Mir was gonna go and I wasn't about to leave him alone.

We all got in the car

"Neo these are my homies Wooski,Blast,Polo,Tee and Lala" He introduced us

"Wasssup ya'll" He said as he pulled off

I looked out the window watching as the car got onto the Eway. This nigga was going at least 100 switching from lane to lane.

"Nigga you tryna kill us?" Leek said laughing

"Nigga you know you can't go the speed limit cause niggas will be quick to catch yo ass"

After about 15 more minutes the car came to a stop.

I got out the car looking around at the different scene.

This block looked different from where I stayed.

I watched as everyone was chilling on their porch and kids playing in the street.

"Come on" Mir said pulling me towards a house that looked abandoned

Walking in I seen that I was the only female here.

Leek introduced us as we took a seat on the empty couch

"What ya'll claim?" One of the dudes asked

"We don't claim shit" Wooski said

"What ya'll claim?" Tee asked

"Cobras" One said

"Aye ya'll smoke?" Neo asked lighting a blunt

I never smoked but I watched my brothers do it all the time so I knew somewhat about weed.

They started a rotation

I pulled out my phone sending Mir a text

You smoking?

MirMir🤞🏼💛: Yeah I wanna know what it feels like you?

I don't know maybe

MirMir🤞🏼💛: If you don't want to then don't. Ain't nobody gonna force you

I read his text looking at him giving him a nod

The blunt soon got to Mir.

I watched as he took a hit inhaling it before coughing up a storm

"Damn" He said hitting his chest as he kept coughing passing the blunt to me

I looked around taking a hit too.

I inhaled it feeling it hit my lungs before I too started coughing but mine wasn't as bad as Mir.

After a few more hits my ass was laughing at every and anything.

Each time Mir looked at me we laughed hard asf.

"Aye come on we gotta get going" Leek said getting up

We all got up dusting ourselves off. We said our byes as we walked out the building getting back in the truck

"Damn we stank" Blast making us laugh

"Here" Neo said as he passed us some spray

We all sprayed ourselves putting the windows down so air it out.

Neo dropped us off at the corner of my block since everyone was literally walking distance from there.

We made our way up the street when we seen hella cops and ambulances.

"Damn what the fuck happened" Blast said

As we got closer my heart sank and I could no longer move

"My brother"

And the drama begins!
