"You sure you good?" Tez asked following me up the stairs towards my room.

"Yeah I'm good Tez" I smiled at the concern

I walked into my room seeing that I forgot to turn the lights off



"Your room came out nice" Tez said walking in looking around

I was happy that we were finally in our own house and away from my grandparents. Ever since Andre was killed they've been on our asses telling us how we have to pay more money to live there or else they were going to take Dre and Tez to court for custody of me. I never knew how money hungry they really were. They rather have me with them as leverage so that they can get all the money they can out of them.

"Thank you. It took me forever to decide how I really wanted it" I smiled as he took a seat on my bed staring at the pictures of mom and Trey I had hung up on the wall.

"Damn 6 years with out mom and going on two with out Trey. Shit don't even seem real" He laughed but I could hear the pain in his voice.

I took seat next to him grabbing his hand

"I don't think it'll ever seem real. Like no matter how much I try after all this time I still can't make myself believe that they're never coming back" I told him as a few tears ran down my face.

"What ya'll doing?" Dre asked coming in "And why you crying?" He raised his eyebrow

"We were talking about mom and Trey"

"Aw damn ya'll having a pity party over here" He laughed joining us

"It's crazy how shit turned out for us man. Like no mom, no dad and we lost our little brother. Barely have family" Tez shook his head

"We're all we have. It's always been us and it will always be us" Dre shrugged "Mama ain't raise no dummies or bitches" He wrapped his arm around me and Tez followed

"We gonna be alright" Tez assured as my phone went off.

I picked it up seeing another call from Mir. I sighed declining it once again. I wasn't in the mood to argue or anything and with my period coming I knew my emotions were going to be 100 times worst and I didn't have the energy to go through it.

"Ight what happened between ya'll?" Tez asked

"Nothing just a regular boyfriend girlfriend fight" I got up from my seat going over to my drawers so I could grab my clothes since I was about to shower

"It's almost that time of the month huh?" Dre turned to Tez

"Yup" He laughed getting up coming over to me pulling me into a hug kissing the top of my head "We going out. You gonna be good here by yourself?"

"Yeah. Ima just shower and take a nap" I told him

"Call us if you need anything. We won't take long"

"We'll be back before it gets too late " Tez said before walking out with Dre right behind him.

I took a deep breath walking over to the door closing and locking it since I was about to shower. I loved that I had my own bathroom now so I didn't have to fight with the boys over it.

I quickly got in the shower letting the heat calm me down. Today was exhausting and the sad part was it wasn't even over yet.

Finishing up I got out wrapping the towel around my body walking out into my room. My phone was ringing on the nightstand. Throwing my clothes in the hamper I walked over to the phone seeing it was Savage my brother's girlfriend Facetiming me. Answering I waited for the call to connect



"Hey boo" She said

"Hey. Where you going?" I asked seeing she was in the car

"Gotta run to the store and get some things for your brother"She rolled her eyes making me laugh "But he told me to call you and see wassup"

"I got in a fight with Mir and had them pick me up so now they tryna be nosy"

"I should've known"She laughed "But wassup? Talk to me"

As I got dressed I told her everything that happened at the party to what happened in the car.

"That little nigga got me fucked up. Want me to knock him out for you?" She said making me laugh because of how serious she was.

"Not yet. Maybe I was overreacting"

"Nah baby girl. Never say you're overreacting about a mans actions because you have every right to feel the way you do. Polo know damn well that if it was the other way around he would've acted a damn fool and not even bother giving you time to explain. He should have respect for you and your relationship" She told me and I nodded agreeing "Don't start making excuses for him now because then that's all you'll ever find yourself doing. Finding every little excuse to defend his behavior in the future and that's how you end up in toxic ass relationships"

"You're right" I sighed

"Girl I know I'm right" She flipped her pony tail making me laugh

"Don't get hyped now! But are you spending the night?"

"You know your brother would beat my ass if I didn't" She laughed "Why wassup?"

"I want you to redo my locs"

"I got you. I'll stop by the house and get my shit"

"Okay text me when you're on your way" I told her getting ready to hang up

"Ight bet"

Hanging up I threw myself on the bed not knowing what to do. A text came in from Mir

Laughing I shook my head deciding to let him suffer some more when I heard my doorbell go off.

I placed my phone on the night stand getting up heading to the door. Unlocking my bedroom door I stepped out to the hallway jogging through the hall and down the stairs. Reaching the door I peaked outside to see Mir outside with hella shit in his hands making me smiled.

I took a minute to put on my mad face before opening the door.

"What do you want?" I crossed my arms blocking the door way

"I want to apologize and feed you" He tried walking past me but I blocked him

"I don't want it"

"Man Nahla stop playing man. My arms about to give out G" He pleaded

"Fine"I rolled my eyes moving out the way letting him in

I closed the door locking it while he walked to the kitchen. Shaking my head I followed him watching him drop everything on the kitchen island

"What's all this?" I asked

"I bought you your favorites cause I know yo ass hungry" He took somethings out the bags "I got you some hot wings and fries along with some brownies so you can eat now. I also got you a 6 pack of sprites and some Arizonas" He spread them out on the table as he showed them to me "Then I know yo fat ass gonna get hungry later so I got you all your favorite candies and chips so you can snack on throughout the night" He pulled out two bags of gummy bears, Some snickers and reese's, Some hot fries, hot crunchy curls and Cool ranch Doritos.

I couldn't help but smile as I watched him organize everything.

"I also got you some heating pads for yo cramps and some midol. And some pads and tampons since I knew you were running low. And here's a teddy bear and some flowers just because" He handed me the bear and flowers

"You really went out yo way huh?" I looked at him

"I had to. I had to show my girl that I was sorry and I'm not playing games no more"

"Who's yo girl? Cause it sure as hell ain't me" I looked around the room before pointing at myself

"Nahla don't fucking play with me. You got me fucked up thinking you gonna leave me over this small ass shit" He grabbed my arm pulling me to him "You ain't leaving me girl" He placed a kiss on my lips

"Mir" I started but he kissed me again

"I know Nahla. I know I fucked up and shouldn't have been texting any female especially without you knowing. That was foul as fuck on my part and I apologize for it. I promise I'll never have you looking stupid again. But I swear on everything I love that I never fucked,kissed or hung out with any of them girls. All I did was text them but it wasn't even on no foul shit but I guess I was leading them on and giving them the wrong idea about us"

"That was foul Jamir. Like I'm not telling you that you can't have female friends cause that'll just be childish as fuck of me but I expect you to keep things as strictly friends and if they get out of line then you cut them off. I know it's impossible for you to never communicate with any female ever but I expect you to keep it on a friend level at all times. I don't want to lose my trust in you Mir. I don't want to worry about who you with and what you're doing when we're not together. That's not the type of relationship I want" I told him

"I understand and I'm not going to put you in that predicament ever again. I'm not going to give you any reason not to trust me cause I ain't tryna do that to our friendship or relationship. I take full responsibility for my actions and they won't be repeated" He stared into my eyes and I could see the sincerity in his eyes.

"I believe you" I smiled reaching up so I could give him a kiss.

"Good now come on let me feed my wife"He pulled away grabbing my arm leading me to the table. He pulled the chair out for me letting me take a seat before scooting it in and making my plate. "Bon appetit" He said placing the plate in front of me making me laugh

I grabbed a wing taking a bite into and automatically my taste buds were satisfied. I moaned as I ate the wing not wanting it to ever end

"You really gotta tease a nigga right now with all that moaning knowing damn well I can't fuck for another week?" He mugged me and I busted out laughing

"Mir" I threw a fry at him but he caught it and ate it

"Don't Mir me. Yo the one making all them sexual noises and shit"

"I'm sorry but I love wings" I shrugged taking another bite.

"Mhm. But Guess who called me and wants a meeting with me tomorrow"

"Who?" I gave him my full attention

"Interscope" He smiled wide

"You for real?" I asked and he nodded "Omg" Is squealed jumping in my seat "Baby that's big!"

"I know but I ain't tryna get my hopes up and shit cause you never know what to expect when it comes to these type of meetings"

"Either way this is big because even if you don't sign with them you'll already be on the label radar so it's only a matter of time before you sign with the right one" I told him

Mir was talented and there was no doubt in my head that he was going to be big but I just hoped he picked the best deal and stayed independent.
