Also Polo's songs will not be in order so some songs gonna come before or after depending how I see fit. So I don't wanna hear "This song wasn't even out yet" or "That song came out before the other one"

Also I went though the time line and realized that Polo and Nahla should've been graduated and should be 18-19 by now LMAOO so we picking up with their Senior year and their ages are 17-18

"How you feeling lady bug?"Tez asked walking in my room with Dre right behind him.

"I'm good just finishing up my homework. What you guys doing?"I asked looking up from my computer watching them take a seat on the edge of my bed.

"We just got home and wanted to see how school went today?"Dre picked up a the essay I had wrote earlier reading it

"It went good. Senior year is really flying by"After everything I've been through these past few years I'm honestly just happy that I made it this far and I'm able to say I'm alive.

"Can't believe yo ass about to be 18 in a few months"Tez wiped a fake tear making me laugh "But on all seriousness we're proud of you baby girl. You've been through more than most people your age have and despite a few downfalls you've over came it and came out on top"

"You're our strongest solider and we want you to follow your heart and be what you want to be in this world. You know we behind you a thousand percent and will go at it with whoever behind you. So keep making us proud"Dre said making me shed a tear. "Mom and Trey would be proud of you"He got up kissing my forehead.

"That means a lot coming from ya'll. I love you guys"I put my stuff aside getting up from my bed giving them both a hug.

"What you want to eat for dinner? I'll make whatever you want"Dre got up from his spot sliding his phone in his pocket

"I want some baked chicken with some mash potatoes"I smiled watching Dre mug me but he shouldn't have asked me what I wanted

"You lucky I love you"He shook his head

"You heard the lady get to the kitchen and make us some food"Tez laughed staying seated but Dre grabbed him pulling him up

"Nigga yo ass helping so I don't know why you so comfortable"Dre said dragging Tez out the door leaving me to finish my homework.

Before I could even start on my homework again my phone began ringing. Grabbing it off my bed I seen it was a Facetime call from Jamir. I stared at the screen a minute contemplating on whether I should answer or not but decided to see what he had to say. Sliding my finger across the screen I waited for the call to connect.



"Hey"Mir said" i didn't think you were going to answer to be honest"He was rubbing the top of his head which something he did when he was nervous

"I wasn't going to answer but I figured I would see what you had to say"I shrugged

"How did we get like this Nahla? We suppose to be best friends before all this dating shit and now I feel more like strangers than anything"He admitted and I couldn't agree more with him

"Because of you Jamir! You started acting funny the moment you left Chicago. I knew that it wasn't going to be easy doing long distance especially not with you starting your rap career but I didn't think you would ghost me that fast. You stopped calling and answering my calls but you talked to the guys the whole time. You flew in town and I had to find out about it through social media! That's not fair Jamir"I shook my head trying to keep myself from crying.

"And I understand that and I accept full responsibility for my actions. You didn't deserve that especially when you're the most important person to me. I don't have an explanation as to why I stopped communicating once I got to LA but I swear once I flew back to Chicago I wanted to surprise you. But shit happened to fast and it slipped my mind. But I apologize Nahla. I love you and I don't want to lose you over this shit"

"I don't know Mir"I wanted to believe that we could make it work but after this whole situation it just showed me that everything I feared of happening could happen.

"Nahla baby please tell me you want to make this work as much I do"Jamir pleaded with me and I can tell that he was being sincere but I couldn't shake this feeling I had.

"Jamir I want to believe we can make it work I really do ,but you're taking off with your music and I'm still in school. You're going to be touring and doing your thing so how are we going to make time for each other? Look at what happened within your first month out there. No matter how much we both want this to work we both have to understand that it's not possible. You're going to be introduced into a whole new life style"

"We can make this work Nahla! I promise you that we can! I'll fly out to you every chance I get. And whenever you get days off I'll fly you out here. Let me prove to you that we can make it work. I don't want to do this rap shit if you ain't by my side. You mean everything to me man. Please Nahla!"

I sat quietly not knowing what to say. Part of me wanted to scream yes because I loved this man with everything in me but another part of me was screaming for me to run.

"Nahla please!"Jamir pleaded sounding like he wanted to cry which caused my heart to break a little. "Give me one more chance. Give me a chance to give you the world"

"Fine Jamir. One more chance is all I'm giving you. But please don't play with my heart. I've had enough people break my heart in my life time. I don't need you breaking it too"

"I won't ever play with your heart. You mine for life baby"He smiled which caused me to smile "I'm going to be flying out there though in like two weeks! So when I do I'm taking you out"

"Out where?"I raised my eyebrow trying to see what this man had in mind

"It's a surprise so don't worry about it. Just know you're going to have fun"He smirked letting me know he had something up his sleeve

"Ight we'll see what you got planned then"I laughed "But I have to go. Dre and Tez making dinner. If you're free later on I'll Facetime you before bed"

"I'll make time don't worry. Just call me when you're done. I love you"

"I love you too Mir"I smiled as I hung up. Sighing I looked at the picture of my mom and Trey that I had on my night stand "I hope I'm not making a mistake guys" Getting up from my bed I walked out my room and down the stairs towards the kitchen.

Walking in the kitchen I seen Savage cooking something on the stove while my brothers were seated at the kitchen table scrolling through their phones

"I know damn well ya'll mother fuckers don't have my good sis cooking!"I crossed my arms watching Dre and Tez jump up

"Nah see what happened was. We was cooking right and she come in here talking about you not doing it right. That's not how you do it. So we told her ass to cook dinner then since she knew more than us"Dre shrugged

"Boy if you don't"Savage laughed throwing a baking mitt at Dre's head as she walked towards me giving me my hug "Hey baby"

"Hey Savage. Nice seeing you around"I told her as I took a seat on the island

"I know I need a break from yo big head brother"She laughed but Dre just mugged her "Don't look at me like that. Lucky I don't leave yo ass"

"Wish you would try and leave a nigga. That'll be the last thing you do"

"Dre!"I laughed because I knew how serious he was

"So you still dating Polo?"Tez asked putting his phone away turning his attention towards me "Or do we gotta kill him?"

"No! You not killing him! But yeah. We decided we're going to give it a try and see how it works out for us"I shrugged grabbing an apple from the fruit basket getting up to wash it "He said he's coming out here in two weeks"

"And how you feel about this? Is this some you really want to do?"Dre raised his eyebrow

"I do. I want to see where this goes. It's not like I don't know him. I've known him my whole life"I took a bite of my apple

"Just remember your worth. You're a beautiful young lady and many guys out there are going to try and take advantage of you so don't let them. No man is worth losing your sanity over. I don't care how long you've known Polo. If that nigga isn't meeting your needs and making you feel anything less than the Princess you are then leave his ass. You already went through a tough ass relationship that almost cost you your life. Don't let this one cause you your mental health. You know we support whatever you wanna do. We might not like it but we behind you one thousand percent lady bug. So don't hesitate to come to us for whatever" Tez got up giving me a hug and kiss on my forehead.

"I promise you three will be the first people I run to if I need help"I hugged him back. Who would've thought that I would ever have the relationship I have with my brothers now. I can really say that those two are my best friends.

"Ight ya'll enough of that mushy shit"Savage laughed "Let's eat"She took the chicken out the over placing it on the mat that was sitting on the counter.

"Have you thought how you want this tape to go? You have a few songs you could use"My producer asked as we went through all the songs I've recorded so far

"I know Finer Things for sure gotta go on there"I scrolled through the files seeing which songs were album worthy and which ones would be singles I drop here and there "Damn this shit hard"

"Knock Knock"Leilani walked in "How's everything going?"She asked taking a seat on the couch we had in here as my producer walked out giving us our privacy

"It's going. They want me to have 14 songs on the album and so far I got like 3 that I know for sure I want on the album. So I gotta pick 11 more"

"They tell you when they trying to drop it?"Lei'lani handed me the plate of food she brought for me since I hadn't ate all day.

"In three to four months from now. But they want me to have the album done and put together by next month cause after that I gotta start recording videos to whatever songs are on the album and then they gonna start doing the promoting and shit" I took a bit of the chicken

"Well I believe you're going to get everything done. You talented as fuck so this shit shouldn't be no problem for you"Leilani smiled "But you seem in a better mood than you've been these past few months"

"I made up with Nahla and she gave a nigga a second chance"I smiled because I finally felt a sense of ease that I haven't felt since I've moved to LA.

"And you better not break her heart nigga cause you might be my brother but I'll fuck you up behind Nahla"She laughed but I knew she was serious "She's always put you first and has done everything to make sure you're good. So now it's your turn to put her first and make sure she's good. I know it might be hard considering the fact that you two now have different life styles but try you're best"
