Entropy : The tendency of a system that is left to itself to descend into chaos.

***

The marble floors were polished ,the chandeliers glistening. The scent of lemon and honey filled her nose as Thato looked around the room ,taking note of the mini jars ,containing the scented candles , placed on the tables surrrounding the grand hall.

Everything was perfect.

It had to be . An event that would be the talk of the South African mafia had to be absolutely infallible. The proud smirk on her face was unmoving .She had to this event together in just under a week andwas poud of the work she had mananged to complete .

She knew her work would undoubly promote her from her current position as escort and to one of , dare she say , superintendent of said escorts. As her heels clanked on the floor her eyes took in all the guests present ,and she knew she wasnt the only escort there that night at the Gentleman's club Gala .She knew this because no right member of the club would dare bring their maritual spouse to such and event .

A event where the conversations were mainly about drugs , and squabbles about where the best places to commit human trafficking are.

The Gentleman's Club is an exclusive club the richest and cruelest men in southern Africa created .

The main founder thought , is Thembinkosi Radebe. When the club first started ,they only dabbled in petty crimes at first, like car hijackings ;and ran a few illegal strip clubs and brothels in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Thembinkosi was always known for his saturnine and inquisitive behaviour from a young age .Its not that he was dumb, on the contrary, he was actually quite brilliant when it came to his school work.He just used his intellect in the worst ways which angered the people of Kwa-Mashu to no avail. He gave his mother extreme grief with the trouble he caused .

So much ,that as soon as he turned eighteen, she kicked him out of the only home he knew and told him to never return until he has his life sorted out.She did for his own good ,because she knew one of these days the communoty would come with weapons bared ,ready to kill him.

So he left ekhaya with only a hundred rand note in his pocket, and the clothes on his back, and took off to Johannesburg, the city of gold and opportunities. He soon made friends who had the same supercilious mindset he had. He got side hustles that we not in the least bit legal.

He went from meeting narcotic addicts in rat infested alleys of the most repulsive parts of town, to manufacturing his own product and taking it out into the the streets that that welcomed him when he first arrived.

With his current hustle booming, he used the connections he had made over the years to his advantage. Pretty soon he was recieving bank notifications every other day, and he expected to see nothing less than seven figures.

But greed and desire pushed him to branch out of the province. Outsde of South Africa and into the world. So he travelled and met many powerful drug tycoons, just as rich and powersome as he was.

And when he had made alliances with them, he needed people who would successfully deliver the product globally.

He was at a popular night club in the outskirts of Johannesburg , Soweto, surrounded by expensive bottles of cognac and a rowdy throng helping theselves to the free beverages, when he saw her.

As she walked into the room, her sultry long legs moved effortlessly. She had the attention of most of the men in the room. The woman who took notice of her, envied her confidence and style. She knew she was that bitch and she made it a point to let everyone around her know it too.

She was the definition of sexually entralling .

The incessant flashing of the LED lights covered the room in hues of pinks, blues and purples . The lights seemed to beat at the same tempo the deep house music blaring from the sound system did.

The dim white light flashed against her ebony skin so beautifully. The black, mid-thigh, body-con dress she wore was slinky. Her swelling breasts formed a beautiful cleavage, which accentuated her love handles and wide hips.

The tightness of the material showed off her callipygian frame.

One of the guys seated at Theminkosi's table noticed her first, and stirred the attention of everyone at the table towards Thato's disappearing figure, as she blended into the dancing crowd.

A few of the ladies commented on her choice of outfit, admiring her style, while one guy commented on her plump ass. Meanwhile Thembinkosi simpl continued drinking from his class ,he's head resting against his raised arm.

He glanced over his glass as Thato drew closer to their table after retrieving a glass of gin and tonic from the bar.She was dressed just as scantily clad as as the rest of the woman in the club, but something unknown drew her to him.

She tried to ignore their lewd comments, as she felt their hawk like eyes roaming all over her body. She was sat at seculated table in the VIP section clearly awaiting company. This did not stop Thembinkosi from setting down hus drink on the table, and telling his entourage that he will be back, before approaching the young lady.

He was dressed in a navy blue polo with tan colored pants. Thato could tell he was devious from the moment he walked up to her, slid into her booth without an invitation and asked her if he could buy her a drink.

At first she declined her offer ,adamant on the fact that she had her own money. But after a few atempts, she finally let him buy her another glass of gin and tonic.

Once the drinks came flowing, their conversation followed suit. Thembinkosi had long forgotten about his entouurage annexing his bill.

Thato tried keeping her focus on his eyes , but her eyes kept drifting towards his ring clad finger on his left hand.Nkosi noticed her gaze and let out a soft chuckle.

"Is there something wrong with my hand? ", he asked clearly amused.

She quickly averted her gaze to the floor, a soft blush showing on her face .

"Sorry, its just ... Never mind. It's dumb" she curtly replied.

"Well now you've got me curious . Please go on."

"I was going to ask if you're married but judging from the wedding band on your finger, i'd say you are." she reluctantly said feeling embarresed of the question.

It was no suprise he was married , he was very handsome and had a certain thing to him that drew female attention to him.

He let out a chuckle, hiding his satisfaction. He had her right where he wanted her. He was planning on taking her back to his decoy apartment and convincing her to become one of his 'girls'.

"We've been together for five years now. She's the love of my life. I didn't think I would be your type anyway."

"And how would you know my type", she said coyly, hiding a smirk. " Point out one person here that you think might be my type."

Nkosi's eyes roamed over the dancing crowd and finally stopped on one of his bodyguards standing near the clubs entrance.

"Him", he started "what about that guy with the tattoos over there ?" Thato looked him over and without even pondering about it for a second more, replied .

"Nah, he's a little too gangster for me " she said and followed with a laugh to with Nkosi joined. Their laughter was halted by a text message received from Thato's phone. The smile on Thato's face faltered as a text from her best friend, Naomi, read,

So sorry bestie, I really can't make it tonight. Mom needs me, you know how she gets from time to time. I PROMISE I'll make it up to you. Love you .

Nkosi, aware of Thato's sudden perplexed mood, placed his hand on Thato's arm, careful as to not make her feel uncomfortable. The sudden touch jolted her from her state disconcert.

"Is there something wrong ? "he asked . Shaking her head, she replied whilst still looking down at her phone, "Sorry. Its my friend, she was suppost to meet me here but she has a family emergency." . Looking up, she smiled coyly.

"Looks like i might as well head back home then, it was nice meeting you Thembinkosi, thanks for the drinks. "she said collecting her purse and red coat from the table.

In panic that he's plans could be ruined, he harshly grabbed onto Thato's arm. "Please don't leave, i really enjoy your company. Ngiyakuqela ntombenhle.

Without replying, she eyes looked at his hand still gripping onto her arm, in shock and slight irritation.

"Please, don't EVER touch me like that again" she said with a scowland a tone so aloof it caused Thembinkosi to instantly remove his hand from her and rendered him speachless, not expecting such a reaction from her.

"Okay, I'm sorry. It's just that i really like you and wanted to spend more time with you , as a friend that is." he recovered a moment later, putting on a fake smile to hid his irritation.

With a raised eyebrow, she gave him a quizical look, and wondered what this man's agenda was with her. But decided against questioning him as they were having a good time before Noami disrupted their night .

Hesitantly, she sat her handbag down on the table and followed suit on the chair.Seeing as she was now calm and was not planning to leave, he decided to act on his plan before it was too late.

"Clubs have never been my favourite scenery, how about we leave this joint and go somewhere more private. I own part of this club, we can go upstairs to one of the private rooms and ..." He paused, looking for the right words, before finally saying, " Talk. I swear I won't try anything funny with you. We could order some drink and snacks"

Thato considered the offer for a minute. I mean what's the worse that could happen. He's good company and it is getting a little crowded in here; she thought before finally replying, "Sure ", with a confindent smile.

Thembinkosi lead them out of the VIP section and up the stair situated on the ground floor where the other club goers were dancing without a care. All the while Thembinkosi had a victorious smile on his face, as he lead Thato to her doom.
