"You always using that same line bra, shit happens for a reason when that shouldn't even be the case." My uncle went on.

"Seeing the shit I have seen has changed me it's the only way I can respond to fucked up shit, how else can you explain this?" I ask as I looked over to him.

"You can't." I say before waving him off. He didn't say anything he just got up from his seat and walked off to the back.

I was pose to leave all this along for my son and me but I guess I wouldn't be able to because now my uncle needed me more than ever.

Some Italians started a rivalry and was out for blood. It had something to do with unresolved beef they had with my father.

He's dead and gone so now it all falls back on my uncle and I'm his blood so I'm also in the mix.

Either way I wasn't backing down because I now have a child of my own and I'll be damned if he ended up hurt over this.

"Your gonna need these." My uncle says as he sat a suitcase filled with weapons in front of me. "It ain't no escaping this." He says before taking a seat back on the couch.

I nodded my head and grabbed the suitcase and made my way towards the front door.

I unlocked the door and locked it behind me before walking down the stairs headed towards my car. I slowly unlocked my car taking in my surroundings.

When I saw it was clear I got inside of my car. My phone immediately started ringing causing me to reach into my pocket to retrieve it.

Looking down at the phone I answered seeing it was Javelin.

"Where you at? You need to get here now!" Javelin says loudly.

I swallowed the lump in my throat scared that this could involve my son. "Where is Alonzo?" I ask lowly my voice practically breaking.

It got quiet on his end which only answered my suspicion. "WHERE IS ALONZO?!" I ask louder.

"He's gone." He says lowly. I could feel the tears brimming at the corner of my eyes. "What you mean he's gone?" I ask more softer.

"He's not here, he's missing." He says which took a little weight off my chest not a lot but a little considering he wasn't dead.

"You let somebody take my child?" I ask getting angry.

"He's my child too!" He says getting defensive. "Nah, I don't even think you deserve that title. Cause where the fuck is he huh? How you let somebody take my kid?" I ask.

"I didn't know aight? He was in his room as usual it was little to quiet so I decided to go check and he wasn't in there." He says causing me to hit my hand against the steering wheel.

"You need to get here so we can figure this out." He tells me. I bit down on my lip to reframe myself from saying something disrespectful.

"I don't need to do anything, I will handle it my way you figure it out on your own." I say before hanging up.

I opened the car door and grabbed the suitcase before walking back inside of my uncles house.

"I don't know, they said to meet them here said they had something that belong to us." My uncle says as he looked over at me concerned. I hadn't told him yet.

"They have Alonzo." I say lowly. My leg was shaking rapidly I was trying so hard to keep my composure but deep down I was breaking slowly. Lord knows I would cause hell if something was to happen to my baby.

"They got your son? My nephew?" He asks.

"Yes, Javelin had informed me earlier." I say.

It was exhausted, irritated basically filled with many emotions. How did I let this happen?

it's not even on you, you knew what it was to bring a child into this world while dealing with this type of lifestyle..

"I'm tired of this." I say lowly as I looked over at my uncle. He nodded his head and rubbed my back.

"I can't tell you it will be okay cause I don't even know that myself, but let's just hope for the best alright?" He says causing me to nod my head.

"I want blood." I say as I opened up the car door. "You can't just go acting off of pulse." He says as he stormed over to me reaching for my arm.

"What I'm pose to do? They got my baby in there who knows what they in there doing to him!" I say as I raised my voice slightly.

First my pops, my moms now my son? Hell nah.

"They want me to be miserable, over some petty ass beef! But it ends here I'm killing every last motherfucker who had something to do with it." I say as I looked around.

Bipolar asf

"You can't just go up in them people shit thinking you gone set shit off it's more of them than us." He says as he scoped out the place.

"What about our backup?" I ask him. He shrugged. "We don't really know what they on yet, but they on speed dial." He says.

"It don't matter what they on it's what I'm on, you don't touch my child and not deal with consequences I want blood bra." I say walking towards the building.

"See what happens when you react off impulse?" My uncle asks as I applied pressure to my open wound.

"Mane fuck all them, I got my son so I'm good." I say as I looked over at him asleep in the backseat.

"Yeah, yeah next time yo ass want be as lucky and when you get home you need better security this shit keeps happening to you." He says as we came to a stop.

"I'm already on that, I don't understand how it keep happening." I say as I leaned back against the seat.

"Where Carrie at, can she stitch up these wounds for me?" I ask as bit down on my lip, this shit hurt like hell.

He nodded his head we finna head over there now.

Couple minutes later we were pulling into her driveway. She stood outside with a white nurse coat on.

I exited the car while my uncle stayed in the car with Alonzo.

I followed Carrie inside the house as she led the way. Once inside she told me to take a seat in this chair beside a lot of medical tools.

She gave me a cloth to bite down on and began removing the bullet and stitching.

Few minutes later.

"Mama?" Alonzo calls out as he sat up from the backseat.

"Yeah baby, what's wrong?" I ask concerned.

"The man said he will be back, it ain't over." He says before sitting back in his seat.

"What man baby?" I ask confused.

"The man who took me." He says.

I looked over at my uncle as he was already looking at me.

I just couldn't catch a break what the fuck...
